Making the map darker reduces the amount of team fights, especially around objectives
Pretty disappointed with the decision to add more blind spots to the map. The only thing adding more bushes does, is slow down movement into the jungle, or towards objectives.
This makes it harder to rush to objectives to contest them, and it promotes the boring strategy where a team can just sit in a bush, get a pick, then take the objective for free.
The fun thing about objectives in league was that there was a challenge around choosing when to attempt them, when to contest them, how to team fight around them, etc. This used to be one of the more fun parts of a match, both as a player and as a viewer.
Thanks to all the burst damage this last year or so, the area around objectives has primarily reinforced the stale, repeatable strategic macro of: Sit in bush > Get pick > Collect free objective (Which is insanely boring to play as well as watch in pro matches)
We lost a lot when we lost fights always breaking out over dragons and barons. Making the map even darker than it is now is going to reduce objective fights even more.
(Incidentally, its extremely frustrating to have to explain this, given the fact that the team has stated that they want to avoid "low lethality" situations in professional matches. If that's truly the case, and you want more lethal action, stop promoting slow and risk-averse map movement, and let teams duke it out in the river, instead of throwing more speed bumps in their way)
