If you want to talk about creativity, you have to look at their entire kit, not just one ostensibly similar ability out of all of them. It's not entirely the ability that matters, it's the way it's used in conjunction with other abilities that does.
Camille's long dash is partly a defence utility (dodging attacks) and an offence tool (to keep enemies from getting away), combined with a slew of other abilities that allow her to fight on her terms: An AoE Cleave that heals her and slows her enemy on the outer portion, two auto-resets, one of which has true damage, a passive that allows her to mitigate enemy damage, and an ultimate that locks her enemies down pretty hard.
Galio's dash and knock up is (as far as I've seen) only capable of hitting one enemy at a time, but it's used in conjunction with a bunch of other heavy teamfight oriented abilites; at least three forms of AoE Damage, passive and active defenses with an AoE Taunt, and a massive AoE knockup for initiation/peel.
Rakan's dash and AoE knock up is quick but has a delay (he's a showman, after all), and he's designed around harassing and disrupting enemies - his passive shields him inside and out of combat, his Q is a skillshot with an AoE heal, he can dash between allies and shield them in the process, lunge in with his AoE knock-up, and sprint headlong into suicide territory to dazzle his enemies.
And let's not forget about Yasuo, whose dash and CC are two separate abilities, paired alongside a kit oriented around equal measures offence and defence (windwall, personal shield, high mobility, line of damage with a knock-up, knock-up-based damage boost), making him a veritable Skirmisher.
And Gnar, whose jump and knock-aside are again, two separate abilities - the latter locked out with his Passive - and given to a dual kit that makes him function as a terrifying ranged sustained-damage threat and a tanky melee bruiser with reliable crowd-control.
If you want to talk about the creativity of Champion kits, you have to look at their entire kits holistically, not just single out what you see as an uninspired running theme.
