Ranked pre-season should be disabled until everything is not too blurry
It's understandable you have no risk for the actual season and rewards are already shipped.
However, your MMR still takes highs and lows which will impact your actual placement matches. One could make the argument that if you're skilled enough, you should still be consistent. This notion is applicable to about 10% of the player population.
That 10%? I mean everyone higher than Gold. Even then, you can see high elo games also have their many discrepancies. I believe Runes Reforged causes a lot of confounding variables, statistically speaking, and is causing some data fluctuation. You have several issues with a newly revamped system that needs fine-tuning and people are getting either completely demolished or an assured victory. This snowball nature is essentially so high that "comebacks" and "competitiveness" are aspects ranked currently can't have for now.
You also have a newly added system. Many people dislike when new champions are played in ranked right after release due to a guaranteed lack of mechanical mastery. This concept can be added to Runes Reforged where there's game knowledge and dilemmas being faced regarding the amount of new scenarios in League. I say this because early game is much different now. You can't get all armor/MR runes against an all AD/AP teams anymore(etc. etc.) and new champions have become reigning figures as a result of this massive update.
Since we're still updating things, I would say to disable ranked as it seems there are a lot more changes in the future coming.
I am not saying disable ranked this pre-season, but do a soft reset or disable ranked until the numbers are tuned and most gameplay issues are addressed.
