Why not? You have a choice: Either summon crazy cannon that can be smited. Or crazy rocket barrage that can be dodged or crazy bouncing stunning bomb

Also smite doesnt oneshot your turret. Smite scaled 390-1000 true damage. Your upgraded Q HP scale 850 - 1450 (+ scaling from AP). So only way to oneshot it is for you to be under lvl 11 while opponent jungler is lvl 15

yes it is else the mechanic wouldn't have even been added.

and exhaust didn't got nerfed on the damage reduction part

but it can differ from monsters and minions..

smites primary usage is for monsters, but it can also be used on minions/pets, that's intended.

Ye Smite is designed to target player Units too as a counter to them

Cleanse does the same thing to champs like Tf or Lissandra

And it's not like this is anything new. Smite had always worked on any Pet. This also works against Daisy and Tibbers.

Those can walk though heimer turrets are limited to position

They are still coded as minions, just like Zac is when he breaks into his passive (as it can be used there too).
