Zed's 50+% ban rate, 50+% win rate

Must be due for some nerfs now, right?

Banrate preventing him from being played is basically the only reason Zed ever gets nerfed.

It doesn't do much to lower his ban rate though does it? People just don't like facing the champion.

Want to fix Zed? Remove his passive working on minions.

He's supposed to be a mechanically intensive champion, and last I recalled, a hella lot of players threw a fit when they heard that (I forgot the champ) had a 5 bonus damage against creeps due to the rework changing the base AD, and Zed gets 30 from the passive against melee and 20 vs range at level 1. He's legit the only champ in the game who doesn't have to prepare minions for cs under tower. Casters need 2 AA from the champ and 1 from tower to die, that applies to all but Zed, for him, it's 1 tower shot and 1 AA from him due to his passive.

Yes, yes, yes, I know Fizz has something similar with his W, but at least Fizz has to actually time the W for it to reset, otherwise it goes on cooldown and he can't use it, so a bad Fizz missing 1 cs with his W makes all further ones for a while unobtainable if you can only last hit with his W (which are many Fizz players, especially in lower elos), but for Zed, if something happens and you miss that cs, your next ones are still gucci.

If you remove that, low elo Zeds will lose a lot more, because right now, many only win because of how easy it is for him to kill once he has items and how easy it is to get the items because it's so easy to farm on him. And yes, I did play him recently, around the time of his latest nerf, and farming with him is super easy, I felt like I have a last hit assistant.

If Zed loses his passive on non-champs, it will add back a hella lot of skill in his kit, as it will be harder to get gold on him and thus players will have to play much smarter. And spare me the bs called "he's melee, he needs it", no other melee champ (bar Fizz, but I already talked about him) has anything remotely similar to Zed's passive cs bot.

I checked on U.GG as well, Zed's lowest win rate, is 49.7% in Bronze and Silver, but at his high pick rate of around avg in both ranks being 15% (16% for B, 14% for S), does that even count as negative win rate? Anything outside of Bronze and Silver has him on positive win rate, he even has positive win rate in Iron. And unlike leagueofgraphs, U.GG shows the win rate for that rank only. But hey, accordion to Zed mains, Zed is so mechanically intense that you have to be rank #1 world Zed and to play against players who are on their 1st ever LoL game just to be able to have a decent game, because if they are somehow on their 2nd LoL game ever, you auto lose.

Zed doesn't need nearly half as much skill as he needed in the past, and stats prove it. Too high play rate and ban rate for his high win rate considering he's a "hard to play champ".

Challenger is the only actual rank where he has an actually bad win rate of 33%, because hey, Zed's main weakness is cooperation, so the best of the best can win against Zed, good for them, the rest are in a different story (53% in GM and 55% in M). So the best of the best can win against him because of the cooperation needed (both his pick rate in GM and M are higher than his pick rate in C), but hey, just listed to Zed mains, "buy Armguard and he's useless", just that, he isn't, otherwise he wouldn't win so much and hard in high elos. Challenger and Pro is the only place he struggles, only.

There are 19 mid champions with better winrates than Zed in plat+.

Case dismissed.

Given his high ban rate, Riot's new balance framework dictates that he will get nerfed if he has >52.5% winrate Gold I and below or >52% winrate between Plat and Grandmaster or >45% pick/ban status in Challenger or >90% pick/ban status in pro play on the current patch or >80% pick/ban status in pro play across 2 patches.

I don't know if any of those apply to Zed, but if you're interested to know if he will receive nerfs you can surely check for yourself.

52.5% win rate while ban rate is above 5x the ABR

Zed doesn't need nerfs.

People just refuse to learn how to play vs him.

Tell that to his 55% wr in M and 53% in GM, I'm sure those players need to learn to play.
