  • Aesthetics

Etessa is a young girl, just a little bit older than Annie, wearing a ceremonial Ionian robe. She has black hair and pale lavender eyes, and her hair is braided with star-shaped braids.

Her robe has a print of a falling star on the back.


  • Skins

Fallen Star Etessa: Etessa sporting a black and red robe instead of her pale and red one. Her eyes have become paler and more forlorn, and her hair clips look like small novae. (750 RP)

Matrix Etessa: For this skin, Etessa's robe is black with raining green lines down it meant to look like binary. Her braids are shaped like a zero and a one, and her skills look like clusters of code. Her voice in this skin would have a synth effect overlapping it. (1820 RP)

Scorched Earth Etessa: Etessa's skin looks ashen and covered in a thin layer of soot. Her braids have fallen out and her hair flows out behind her in a jagged array, clearly rather unkempt. Her robe bears typical Scorched Earth coloration, like Renekton or Xerath's skins, and her eyes are a deep crimson. Redshift and Blueshift take on the appearance of embers. (1350 RP)

Solar Sect Etessa: Etessa sporting a white robe with a glowing sun on the front of it, and wears a cape with an elaborate celestial pattern printed on the inside of it. (975 RP)

- Ten Years Ago -

We, the Lumine Consortium, are a gathering of lesser celestial deities charged with overseeing the sanctity of worlds. We are, however, forbidden from interfering or making our presence known directly. Instead, we must send emissaries, children of our own creation, to these worlds to defend the peace in our stead.

One such world, Runeterra, has recently been host to a strange phenomenon they know as "the Void". We Lumines do not know the true nature of this Void or what it seeks, but we do understand that this problem must be dealt with posthaste. So we prepared a new celestial child, our envoy that would one day defend Runeterra from what could be a great and terrifying menace.

We sent our child, aboard a falling star down to the surface of Runeterra. The star appears to have landed in a nation known as Ionia, and the natives have recovered her safely. She now rests soundly in one of the nation's ceremonial temples, the people abuzz with news of this strange and fascinating occurrence.

They have opted to name her Etessa, and so we shall as well.

- Growing Up -

Etessa seems to have grown up to be quite the wild child, as the humans might say. She is full of energy, always using her Lumine-born powers to wreak all manner of playful mischief. The citizenry of Ionia seems to take it all in stride, however, having recognized this child as a gift from the heavens. A recognition not too far off from the truth, ironically.

Etessa has honed her powers magnificently. During her training sessions, we would subliminally aid her in harnessing her abilities, while allowing her some freedom in how she expresses them. She has taken a liking to creating energy sparks, including firing them from her fingertips like those "guns" that some of the humans we've seen have used.

We shall continue to monitor Etessa's development, as well as the growing threat that is the Void.

- The Present Day and the League of Legends -

It has come to our attention that many of the Void's more notorious spawns have found their way, coerced or otherwise, into a sort of political-gladiatorial ring known as the League of Legends. Etessa has heard much about the League already from the Ionians and harbored a secret desire to participate for herself.

When she could not contain her desire any longer, she told her caretakers that she would compete no matter how much they tried to stop her. They simply smiled.

"We know, child. You've trained very hard, and we believe you're ready."

"Yay, to the League of Legends! I'm gonna be a legend too, just like Miss Soraka!"

Etessa ran out of the temple happily, off to find the healer Soraka to tell her the news. Seeing Etessa so happy almost brings tears to our eyes, but we know that she has a job that must be done. The issue of the Void will have to be dealt with.

For now, however, we shall let her have her fun with the League.

For every 10% bonus Attack Speed Etessa has, she gains 0.5% bonus Movement Speed. For every 10 bonus Movement Speed Etessa has, she gains 2% bonus Attack Speed. These bonuses don't stack with themselves.

Active: Etessa fires a red spark of celestial energy in a line, dealing physical damage to the first enemy unit it hits. Redshift cannot critically strike but applies on-hit effects.

Etessa may recast Redshift once mid-flight to alter its trajectory towards her cursor's current location. Regardless of whether or not the trajectory was altered, Redshift will travel a total of 1100 range or until it hits an enemy.

- Movement - Etessa lazily floats upright through the air, swinging her hands at her side as she floats. At high movement speed, she begins to fly horizontally with her arms outstretched like a superhero.

- Basic Attacks - Normal: Etessa fires sparks from her fingers by holding them like finger-pistols. She alternates hands as she attacks, starting with her left. Her AA projectiles are small energy bolts. Red bolts from her left hand, and blue ones from her right hand.

Critical: Etessa fires with both hands at once for critical strikes. The resulting bolt is purple, naturally. This animation is also used if Etessa triggers Asterism with a basic attack.

- Redshift - Etessa fires a large red spark from her left hand.

- Blueshift - Etessa raises her left hand and conjures a large blue spark at target location.

- Comet Trail - Etessa leaves a short-lived trail of glimmering stardust behind her when she moves with the bonus Movement Speed. This also occurs with Rage and/or Furor.

- Big Crunch - Etessa holds out her hands for 0.5 seconds like she's firing a Kamehameha or Hadoken, then fires a large white cluster of energy to target location. Etessa is blasted backward by the force.

- Big Bang - Etessa raises both her hands into the air when detonating the Big Crunch, or when it automatically detonates.

- Recall / Teleport - Etessa conjures a small red spark and a blue spark. The two spin around her head before converging, causing a small explosion and raining glimmering dust down over Etessa.

- Dance - ???

- Taunt - 1: Etessa twirls around a bit, then some stardust rains down around her.

2: Etessa does a comical wind-up punch.

- Joke - For both jokes, Etessa conjures a small glowing sun in her hands.

My third custom champion, revamped and retweaked. I think her identity is a lot more solid now.

A lot better! I like the work, her toolkit seems a lot more balanced! +1 for a great concept! I approve! Now I think the only problem would be is that her name sounds really similar to Elise

Edit: After looking over it a bit I might recommend dropping her base movement speed to 325 and her base health by a bit. She still has good range and with the move speed steroid + her passive I think she'll be okay with the reduce movement speed. (But maybe buff her mp5 by a teeny bit to compensate).
