League has six classes: Assassin, Fighter, Mage, Marksman, Support and Tank. But with such a broad cast of characters, these six hardly encompass all ability sets and gameplay styles. What are your roles, and if they followed the established naming theme, what would they be?
Ironclad Dragon2 votesAbility Power
- Default: "Mage"
Attack Damage
- Default: "Marksman"
Fighter
- Default: "Bruiser"
Support
- Caster: "Advocate"
Tank
- Default: "Defender"
Am I missing any playstyle?
Keladri1 votesHmm, the Default: "Support" is a little vague, since the default/generally accepted support styles are pretty widespread- Thresh, Leona, Nami, Sona, etc. are all played differently but fit the same role. A better division might be Caster Support and Tank Support. You might even be able to add a third one, Sustain Support, to separate Soraka/Sona/Nami from Morgana/Annie/Lux.
Ironclad Dragon1 votesThat is a very good point.
GildedCreed1 votesWith all honesty, "Ham" should be a class. It should be given to champions who's kit is best suitable for "all ins". You see, the Assassin line of champions typically is meant to pick off those who are caught out, those who were weakened during a team fight, etc. But some of these champs typically are played with the mind set of "go ham or go home". For example, Ryan Choi's Rengar is seen as a "glass cannon". And we all know the rule of Rengar is that even if you're low, if you are in your Ult you dive the enemy to pick up a (hopeful) kill.
TLDR: Make "Ham" a class for champions who's kit is high-risk/high-reward or excel at "all in".
