(Concept Champion with Art) Anaxirum: The Fallen Idol
Anaxirum: The Fallen Idol

- Preferably top/bot lane tank, top lane fighter
Tall, lanky, marble statue. His doll-like body is plated with worn metal from a rugged suit if armor, and wrapped in bandages and studded leather. His entire body resembles the shape of a chess piece king, but with a sinister, metal face imbedded into it. He wields a marble column wrapped in studded leather and infused with bands of menacing spikes - forming a large, spiked club. He has a cursed dagger sticking out of his back, emitting a purple miasma. Two different colors of ectoplasmic smog are in conflict within Anaxirum's hollow body; the purple miasma of his dreadful curse, and the sinister, green glow of his tyrannic soul.

Lore: -The tyrant Anaxirum was once a mighty king, whose ambition led him to construct a gigantic catacomb labyrinth deep underground to house the tombs of his descendants. This glorious project to preserve the honor of the throne took decades, and hundreds of workers' lives to complete - workers who believed they would follow him into the afterlife. Despite these noble sacrifices, the king himself never itended to be buried in his own labyrinth, or anywhere for that matter. Anaxirum was well-versed in the ways of necromancy - a powerful magic that his own court mystics warned him not to meddle in. His blind ambition led to several attempts to achieve immortality - one such attempt to cheat his own death backfired, and led to his untimely demise. His body was buried in his unfinished labyrinth.
Several days later, he awoke in his catacombs, but in an unfamiliar, inorganic body. His ritual had bound his soul to a guardian statue - a metal and marble golem that was present during his ritual, and was buried with his body - a totem that would "protect his soul for eternity." In his confusion and anger, He clumsily stumbled about his tomb - frustrated with his inorganic, doll-like joints. Anaxirum's court mystics, who were finishing the burial procession, witnessed the monstrosity Anaxirum had become. They pierced Anaxirum's stone body with a cursed dagon - an arcane blade that hindered his every movement. The mystics vowed that this creature would never see the light of day. Anaxirum was sealed away in his own labyrinthian tomb soon after. In this miserable, heavily-encumbered state, he was doomed to wander aimlessly for eternity. Meanwhile, on the surface, it seemed memory of him, and his kingdom, followed him to the grave. For centuries, Anaxirum and his legacy were lost, and his once great name was forgotten. As Anaxirum wallowed for the first few centuries, he continued to wander the catacombs he had constructed with the stone of his castle, and the bones of his laborers.
After several centuries, grave looters became a common occurrence - and so were stories of their mysterious disappearances. Tales would tell of an ancient golem that stalked its prey through the maze-like crypt before striking them down with an enormous marble column. But in truth, The killing was merely a desperate act to protect what remained of his integrity. Anaxirum continued to slaughter all who entered the labyrinth - adding these brutalized victims to the walls of the catacombs - thus continuing his long lost project. As intruders of his tomb came few and far between, his killing grounds then extended to the world above - since careless looters had removed the seal of the ancient court mystics. Anaxirum had become the vicious monster the mystics made him out to be. As time passes, the curse of the arcane blade grows weaker. Although he has been able to remove it from his body on several occasions, it will always find its way back to him. As the bonds of his curse begin to fade away, a newfound confidence fills its place. A brighter flame grows within Anaxirum, who now aspires to become the great necromancer king as he was once known - destined to spread his influence throughout Runeterra. After all, Anaxirum has been storing a fathomable legion within the very walls of his labyrinthian cage. Anaxirum's loyal subjects will finally follow him into his next life.
**The chess piece aesthetic, which Anaxirum is based from, might indicate that contemporary chess pieces are replicas of archaic burial totems.
Base stats:
(NOTE: Attack speed can still increase by leveling up, but only by a small increment. This will be explained in a moment) Health:
Health Regen: 580 - 2078
Mana: 7.8 – 16.8
Mana Regen: 274 - 1044
Melee: 200
Atk Damage: 66 - 166
Atk Spd: 0.625 (+0% - 44.4%)
Armor: 28.1 – 86.1
Magic Res: 32.1 – 53.4
Mov. Speed: 320
Passive: Heavy Burden
- Anaxirum is automatically equipt with a debuff known as "Curse of Encumberment," which prohibits base attack speed buffs from taking effect - including buffs from purchased items. In other words; Anaxirum' attack speed is static as long as the Curse of Encumberment is currently affecting him (With the exception of base attack speed gained from leveling up). Other non-attack speed related effects of items would still take affect accordingly. When this curse is active, Anaxirum's torso is pierced with a large dagger that sticks out of his back. This dagger produces a purple, shadow-like essence that partially shrouds Anaxirum's upper torso - emitting the signature, feint glow of this debuff.
http://i.imgur.com/G6beskb.png (Purple particles can be seen in this example) (Pardon the stick figures lol)
Debuff statistics: Curse of Encumberment - prevents increases to attack speed from taking effect on the effected champion. Current victim: Anaxirum
Q: Ferocious Swing
Passive:
- Anaxirum's auto attacks can slow enemies on-hit for 4% slow per hit (stacking to a maximum of 12 hits for a 60% slow overall). Once the final stack has taken effect, auto attacks no longer sustain the slow, and the target cannot be slowed again by this passive ability for another 16 seconds.
Slow duration: 3 seconds (duration resets if another attack lands within this timeframe)
Active: Anaxirum swings his mace in an uppercut fashion - dealing physical damage, and knocking a single target away. A momentary stun is applied if the target hits a wall.
- could count as a knock up
- Has an increased chance to critically strike (+15%)
http://i.imgur.com/YXOtHWh.png (Riven gets PWNED)
- Knockback distance: 600
- Stun duration: 0.75 second(s)
- Cooldown: (13/12/11/10/9)
- Mana cost: 40
W: Rising Labyrinth
Active: Erects a solid, stone wall which stands for a maximum of 6 seconds. This wall is given a percentage of health based on Anaxirum's maximum health (Armor and magic resist do not apply). The wall cannot be targeted by enemy abilities, only auto attacks.
- Cast time: 0.25 seconds
- Cast distance: 750
- Wall dimensions: 850x125
- Wall duration: 5 seconds
- Stun duration: 0.75 second(s)
- Mana cost: 60
- Cooldown: (16/15/14/13/12)
*Anaxirum has the option to target the center section of this wall with his Q (Ferocious Swing) to smash the wall to pieces with a single blow - sending debris out in a cone-shaped AoE in front of him that deals magic damage and stuns enemies for a very short duration.
http://i.imgur.com/CpF2FVZ.png (Top figure: Anaxirum summons his wall) (Bottom figure: Anaxirum smashes his wall with "Ferocious Swing to slow and damage Jax)
Stun duration: 0.75 second(s)
*Anaxirum's Q (Ferocious Swing), if used on target near a wall, would NOT knock the targeted champion over the wall. It would merely force them up against it (Applying the stun to that one target). This is the case for Anaxirum's Rising Labyrinth as well.
E: Sphere of Blight
-Anaxirum cases himself within a pulsing sphere of energy, which gives him a minuscule amount of magic resist, and reflects magic damage he takes while it's active (He takes the damage still, but also dishes it back out). Abilities (and only abilities) that attack Anaxirum while this shield is active have 50% of their damage returned to the sender as magic damage (Enemy magic resist would apply normally). Damage is delivered via homing projectiles that spawn from the surface of the sphere, and fly outwards (maybe the spheres could shriek or moan like tormented souls). This ability costs no mana to cast, but subtracts a percentage of Anaxirum's maximum health upon use.
*this ability does not reflect poison damage, auto attack modifiers, or other DoT effects (IE: singed's poison, Liandry's Torment's unique passive, Viktor’s enhanced auto attack, etc.).
http://i.imgur.com/MTM8y5t.png (Anivia sees just how cold revenge can be)
- Shield Diameter: 250
- Range of projectile homing: 1000 (No projectile will fire if ability's caster is outside of this range)
- Projectile homing distance: 2400 (will chase unless enemy leaves this range)
- Health cost: 5% of current health.
- Duration: 2 seconds
- Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10
R (Ult): Flogging of Fools
Anaxirum temprarily detaches his Curse of Encumberment item (ripping the sword out of his back), and casts it onto a nearby enemy champion. The impact of the sword deals damage equal to one auto attack (which cannot critically strike), and the status effects of the curse then apply to the targeted enemy as the same debuff - shown with a dagger sticking out of the champion, and leaving a black, shadow-like particle trail around this sword for lvisual clarity. For the next three seconds, Anaxirum has the option to activate his ult (R) once more to warp to the location of the Curse of Encumberment (I.E: the enemy champ afflicted with the curse at that time). This would only work of the targeted champion is within a certain range (5000 units perhaps to prevent warping with a teleporting or recalling enemy). An enemy equipped with the curse moving outside of this range would return the curse to Anaxirum early.
On top of loosing his trinket debuff temporarily, Anaxirum also gains a temporary increase in attack speed for a short duration (+70% attack speed for seven seconds) The buff is signified by a change in the color of the ectoplasmic steam radiating from him (from purple to green), and this green smoke would make the shape of a pointed crown on his head - as if his kingly image is restored for a short time. Weapon motion trails would also be made of this same green smoke. Like all good things, however, the Curse of Encomberment inevitably returns to Anaxirum after this short, seven second duration - re-appearing in his torso to torment him once more. If the enemy champion were to be slain before the duration is over, the Curse of Encumberment would return to Anaxirum earlier - reactivating upon its return, and canceling the duration of his attack speed buff.

http://i.imgur.com/lenWHsW.png (Anaxitum's auto attacks and Ferocious swing have green particle trails while this ult is active)
Cast time: 0.25 second(s) -Duration of debuff: 6.75 seconds -Range (of applying debuff): 650 (radius from anaxirum) -Mana cost: 110 -Cooldown: 105/95/85
(NOTE: throughout the duration of this ability, any base attack speed buffs are temporarily available due to Curse of Encumberment's absence)
*Building Anaxirus with items such as Zephyr, Phantom Dancer, and Blade of the Ruined King could be quite useful due to the powerful combination of Flog the Fool's attack speed buff, and Anaxirum's Q Passive (Ferocious Swing). Though the attributes of attack speed items may prove to have less worth in scenarios without an available ult (ridiculous understatement). This alllows for sacrifice within Anaxirum's build for a very powerful ult burst in times of need. These possibilities add unique flexibility to potential Anaxirum builds.
***The following combos are some examples of ways to utilize Anaxirum's kit.
*Combo #1: "engage" "W" (behind target), "Q" (onto target towards wall), "E" (on self)
- This combo would put up a wall, force an enemy up against the wall with the knockback of "Ferocious Swing," and then apply armor pen with the effect of Anaxirum's "Sphere of Blight" to punish enemies for any attempted countermeasures. Finally, allow for a couple of hard-hitting auto attacks to finish the combo.
** This combo would be a fairly effective way to engage during the laning phase, or to help lock down a target during a gank. This combo would be useful in an instance where Anaxirum's ult is not up.
*Combo #2: "Pursuit" -(Note: this combo is started the same way as Combo #1) -"W" (behind target) and if the enemy either flashes over the wall or utilizes an escape that puts them on the other side of the wall, then apply "Q" to collapse the wall to apply a stun on the enemy behind it. Then, with correct timing, apply "R" (onto target) - In case another escape attempt is made, using its re-activate ability to warp to the target. The optional usage of the "E" would then be a good way to deal effective damage in case the enemy tries to retaliate with a string of abilities. Finish the combo with auto attacks or even an additional use of "Ferocious Swing" to put your victim in their rightful place.
** This combo would be used if the engage of the usual combo failed to catch the enemy champion (assuming ult is up)
*Combo #3: "The Lock" -"R" (onto target), "Q" (onto same target), "W" (between target and Anaxirum), "R" (Reactivation), "E" (on self)
- This combo would first eliminate Anaxirum's passive attack speed restrictions, then knock the enemy away. Anaxirum's Rising Labyrinth would then block the enemy off from Anaxirum temporarily, but a quickly timed re-activation of his ult would put him on the other side of this wall next to his target - putting him at optimal striking distance for auto attacking the target, and applying slowing effects with his passive. This combo would be complete by activating Anaxirum's "Sphere of Blight," to hopefuly maximize damage output for a short moment.
**This combo would be especially effective against a single opponent in the jungle to trap an enemy in close quarters, or in a team fight to separate one enemy team member from the larger group for a personal beating. Having Anaxirum's teammates join in on the beating would maximize the revenge aspect of Anaxirum's "Sphere of Blight" if his victim has the courage to retaliate.
Strategic overview:
Anaxirum is a champion who relishes in afflicting his victims with the pain of his own misery. Anaxirum is held back by his passive ability, which limits his attack speed from increasing by external means. The payoff comes when he can pass this passive onto an enemy champion with his ultimate ability: Flogging of Fools. His inability to land quick, successive autos, but that does not mean that each hit does not pack a punch to make up for his sloth-like attacks. Even while his passive remains bound to him, he can still manage to wear down an enemy front with enough force to crumble an entire team's formation.
Anaxirum would do very well within the confines of close quarters. This is especially true in the presence of walls, as his usual hunting ground is within the tight spaces within his cryptic maze. The jungle is one such place where anaxirum flourishes when pursuing enemies. Attacking a target in the jungle with Q (ferocious strike), and forcing them against a nearby wall could stun the target in time to apply some slow stacks with Anaxirum's passive. Anaxirum could even make walls of his own (IE. W, or Rising Labyrinth) to subdue a target without an available escape. Unfortunately, his synergy in wide open spaces tends to fall short. Many ranged champions can successfully kite him with great ease, due to Anaxirum's limited influence at long range.
Anaxirum's teamfight potential is both unique and frightening. His ability to lock down the attack speed of a single champ can give his allies an opportunity to move in on their enemy without worrying as much about a relentless barrage from a pesky marksman. Also, Anaxirum has a considerable amount of crowd control with both his "Ferrocious Swing" and "Rising Labyrinth." These abilities are also very useful abilities for smashing through the ranks of the enemy.
