***- Elyssa, the Shooting Star -

  • The Envoy of the Lumine Consortium -***

  • Aesthetics

Elyssa is a young girl, just a little bit older than Annie, wearing a ceremonial Ionian robe. She has black hair and pale lavender eyes, and her hair is braided with star-shaped braids.

Her robe has a print of a falling star on the back.

  • Skins

Fallen Star Elyssa: Elyssa sporting a black and red robe instead of her pale and red one. Her eyes have become paler and more forlorn, and her hair clips look like small novae. (750 RP)

Matrix Elyssa: For this skin, Elyssa's robe is black with raining green lines down it meant to look like binary. Her braids are shaped like a zero and a one, and her skills look like clusters of code. Her voice in this skin would have a synth effect overlapping it. (1820 RP)

Scorched Earth Elyssa: Elyssa's skin looks ashen and covered in a thin layer of soot. Her braids have fallen out and her hair flows out behind her in a jagged array, clearly rather unkempt. Her robe bears typical Scorched Earth coloration, like Renekton or Xerath's skins, and her eyes are a deep crimson. Redshift and Blueshift take on the appearance of embers. (1350 RP)

Solar Sect Elyssa: Elyssa sporting a white robe with a glowing sun on the front of it, and wears a cape with an elaborate celestial pattern printed on the inside of it. (975 RP)

  • Lore

- Lumine Consortium, Observational Records; Subject Elyssa "The Child of the North Star"

It was ten years ago, in a place known as the Astral Grove. A couple, together with their yet-unborn child, were on a journey of self-discovery when the time of birth struck. With nowhere else to turn, they took refuge in the Grove, praying to the stars that their child would be born safely. The light of the North Star shone down upon the Grove, upon the divine being who dwelt within. She tended to the mother, and with her help, the child was born into the world. As if to mark this moment of life's splendor, the North Star shone upon the child's face.

The light of the North Star had marked this child, Elyssa, as an envoy of the cosmos, bearing celestial powers great and mighty. Such a power brings with it a great responsibility, to use it for the sake of others, for the sake of peace. There is a time and place for such matters, but for the time being, the stars were content to let Elyssa be herself.

The reason for this marking, of course, ran deeper than that. The Void had made its presence known in Runeterra. The Lumine Consortium, a gathering of lesser celestial deities unable to directly interfere with Runeterra, chose instead to bless a child with their power, so that they may one day battle the Void in their stead. The North Star, that which shines brightest of all the stars in the night sky, was the meeting ground of the Lumine, and its light was their watching gaze. The Astral Grove's high level of spiritual attunement served only to further the notion that Elyssa was the one.

*As Elyssa grew up, the Ionians were very taken with the unique power she displayed. She was highly regarded, practically worshipped, by her people as an envoy of the greater cosmos. Being a little girl, of course, Elyssa enjoyed all the attention she was getting. *

One thing Elyssa liked to do in particular that struck people as strange was her desire to visit the Astral Grove every so often, under the light of the North Star. Here, she would in truth be receiving a blessing from the Lumine who watched over her, and her powers would become more refined. She was soon able to weaponize said powers to a frightening degree, and became quite the little fighter in short order.

Today, as a normal 10 year old girl, Elyssa is fascinated with the world around her and the doings of her people. What fascinated her most, however, was the League of Legends that she had heard about from the one who aided in her birth, the now-mortal healer known as Soraka. The gravity of the League's purpose was lost to someone as young as Elyssa, but nonetheless she wanted to participate. For the fun of it, and to represent her family and nation.

  • Gameplay

Primary Role: Marksman Secondary Role: Mage

Health: 383 (+83) [1877] Health Regen: 5.2 (+0.55) [15.1] Mana: 240 (+45) [1050] Mana Regen: 6.7 (+0.63) [18.04] Range: 550 Attack Damage: 47.6 (+3.3) [107] Attack Speed: 0.658 (+3.1%) [1.03] Armor: 18.4 (+3.5) [81.4] Magic Resistance: 30 Movement Speed: 330

--

Passive: Asterism

Every 3 / 2 / 1 ability casts, Elyssa's next basic attack deals bonus magic damage on-hit.

Magic Damage: 10 + (2 x Elyssa's Level) (+25% AD) (+15% AP) Scales at levels 1 / 6 / 12

- This passive goes along with Elyssa's ability to sling spells, by adding extra bite to her auto-attacks after every few spellcasts. Nothing too special here.

--

Q: Redshift || Range: 1100 || Cost: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 Mana || Cooldown: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5

Active: Elyssa fires a red spark of celestial energy in a line, dealing physical damage to the first enemy unit it hits. Redshift cannot critically strike but applies on-hit effects, including Asterism.

Elyssa may recast Redshift once mid-flight to alter its trajectory towards her cursor's current location. Regardless of whether or not the trajectory was altered, Redshift will travel a total of 1100 range or until it hits an enemy.

Missile Speed: 1000 (or whatever the speed of Vel'Koz's Plasma Fission is) Physical Damage: 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+100% AD) (+45% AP)

- Look at that, another geometry-based skillshot. Elyssa's is only one projectile, however, but it applies on-hit effects. The term redshift means "a shift toward longer wavelengths of the spectral lines emitted by a celestial object that is caused by the object moving away from the earth". And, well, the projectile DOES move away from Elyssa when it's fired. It's also red, so yeah.

--

W: Starburst || Range: 1200 || Cost: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 Mana || Cooldown: 12

Active: Elyssa launches a thin, glimmering arc of energy in a line that detonates upon reaching maximum range or hitting an enemy, dealing magic damage to all enemies within 250 range. Starburst's damage increases the farther it travels before detonating.

Missile Speed: 1400 Magic Damage: 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 (+50% AP) (+1% per 10 Range Traveled past 400, capped at +80%) Maximum Damage: 90 / 144 / 198 / 252 / 306 (+90% AP)

- Starburst is one of Elyssa's potentially strongest spells, gaining power the farther it manages to fly before its detonation. The trick to landing this at full power lies in Elyssa's other skills, so use accordingly.

--

E: Blueshift || Range: 700 || Cost: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 Mana || Cooldown: 8

Active: Elyssa conjures a blue spark of celestial energy at target location, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies and slowing them for 2 seconds. The spark persists at that location for 3 seconds.

Blueshift Magic Damage: 40 / 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 (+40% AP) Blueshift Slow: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40%

Micronova || Range: 325

If Redshift collides with the spark, both projectiles are consumed and Micronova is set off, dealing magic damage to enemies within range and rooting them.

Micronova's damage scales with Elyssa's current Level.

Micronova Magic Damage: 15 x Elyssa's Level (+50% AP) Micronova Root Duration: 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5

- Blueshift is, functionally, Syndra's Q at first glance. However, it only interacts with her Q instead of her entire kit. She can aim Redshift into it to set off an explosion called Micronova that roots enemies momentarily, letting her line up a Starburst if she's quick. Blueshift means "a shift toward shorter wavelengths of the spectral lines of a celestial object, caused by the motion of the object toward the observer", which I guess works because the spark appears right on top of where you want it. It's also blue, of course.

--

R: Big Crunch || Range: 850 || Cost: 100 Mana || Cooldown: 120 / 110 / 100

Active: After a 0.5 second channel, Elyssa fires a singularity at target location and knocks herself back 300 range. The singularity triggers once it reaches that location and lasts for up to 4.75 seconds. It deals magic damage per second to enemies within 425 range and slows them, with the slow gradually growing stronger over the duration.

While the singularity persists, Elyssa may cast Big Bang once. If Big Crunch ends without Big Bang having been cast, the cooldown is reduced by 50%.

Missile Speed: 1800 Big Crunch Magic Damage per Second: 15 / 20 / 25 (+10% Bonus AD) (+5% AP) Maximum Possible Damage: 60 / 80 / 100 (+30% Bonus AD) (+15% AP) Big Crunch Slow: 20 / 30 / 40% (+10% per Second)

**Big Bang ** || Range: 425

Active: The singularity explodes, dealing magic damage to all enemies within range. The damage increases by 10% for each second that the singularity remained active before detonation, up to a maximum of 40%.

Big Bang Physical Damage: 210 / 280 / 350 (+80% Bonus AD) (+70% AP) Big Bang Maximum Damage: 294 / 392 / 490 (+112% Bonus AD) (+98% AP)

- This ultimate is basically a bigger-scale version of Lux's E. The slow on the Big Crunch ramps up as the singularity persists, however, allowing Elyssa to use it as a potent escape tool should the need arise, especially because firing it knocks her back as well. It's still no slouch on the offense, either, sporting good base damage and high scalings. Its utility as an escape is bolstered by the cooldown being reduced by half if Big Bang isn't fired, as the skill is one of Elyssa's few outs against enemy aggression. Besides killing them, of course.

  • Animations

- Movement - Elyssa lazily floats upright through the air, swinging her hands at her side as she floats. At high movement speed, she begins to fly horizontally with her arms outstretched like a superhero.

- Basic Attacks - Normal: Elyssa fires sparks from her fingers by holding them like finger-pistols. She alternates hands as she attacks, starting with her left. Her AA projectiles are small energy bolts. Red bolts from her left hand, and blue ones from her right hand.

Critical: Elyssa fires with both hands at once for critical strikes. The resulting bolt is purple, naturally. This animation is also used if Elyssa triggers Asterism with a basic attack.

- Redshift - Elyssa fires a large red spark from her left hand.

- Starburst - Elyssa swipes her hand out like she's throwing a boomerang and emits a sort of shimmering white disk that flies forward. When it detonates, it explodes in a glimmer of stardust.

- Blueshift - Elyssa raises her left hand and conjures a large blue spark at target location.

- Big Crunch - Elyssa holds out her hands for 0.5 seconds like she's firing a Kamehameha or Hadoken, then fires a large white cluster of energy to target location. Elyssa is blasted backward by the force.

- Big Bang - Elyssa raises both her hands into the air when detonating the Big Crunch, or when it automatically detonates.

- Recall / Teleport - Elyssa conjures a small red spark and a blue spark. The two spin around her head before converging, causing a small explosion and raining glimmering dust down over Elyssa.

- Dance - ???

- Taunt - 1: Elyssa twirls around a bit, then some stardust rains down around her.

2: Elyssa does a comical wind-up punch.

- Joke - For both jokes, Elyssa conjures a small glowing sun in her hands.

My third custom champion. Thoughts or opinions, anyone?

Updated with some numerical tweaks and adjusted functionality on her ultimate.

Couple things, her toolkit is a lot more "AP Caster" like then an adc, even her general character model and personality say mage.

Her range on her abilities seems absolutely ridiculous especially the fact that every single ability she has scales HEAVILY off AD and she outranges pretty much every other adc with every single ability she has.

The concept for her abilities and for the champion is really ocol but I might recommend breaking this up into three or four different champions or just revamping everything including the range, mana costs, type of damage (you have her dealing tons of magic damage that scales off AD) and the general AMOUNT of damage she'll do.

At the moment it looks like she can sit under tower and just snipe people the whole game, caitlyn would be jealous of her range and shes using a sniper.
