Champion Concept (name unknown)
This champion came into mind as I was playing another game on the ios while I was looking at the background(blue orbs with ghosty looks) and listening to the music. I'm not exactly sure why this came up.
Here it is!
??? The Spectre Ward
Passive: Spectre Amulet. He has his ultimate at level one and a new resource: Plasma. 2 Plasma is gained by basic attacks. He has 100 Plasma to start the game off with.
Human form: Recover 10 plasma per second.
Spectre form: Abilities deal 20% bonus damage. All damage is redirected to Plasma. Physical and magical damage will deal 10% damage to plasma. If you run out of plasma, you cannot reenter spectre form until you have full plasma or after 10 seconds. Turrets will not aggro you unless you attack an enemy champion, turret damage is not reduced. Dead units have a change to drop souls if you kill them in human form or they die near you. In spectre form, you can walk by these to permanently increase max Plasma by 3. If you basic attack a target in spectre form, it will garentee a soul.
**He will not generate plasma in human form until he has entered combat. He will also not be able to enter spectre form until he has gained at least 50 plasma. ** In spectre form, he is immune to fears, blinds, slows, stuns,roots, and knockups. If such form of cc is present, double its damage if it is a stun,knockup, or root. Otherwise, it does 50% bonus damage.
He can move through walls, and is immune to sight wards. He cannot be seen unless you are 750 units away from him, and cannot be seen through walls.
Q: Ectoplasm Fires a bolt of spectral energy, dealing 80/160/240/320/400 (+80% of AP) magic damage to the first target hit. Targets facing the bolt will be feared.
Costs 40/60/80/100/120 Plasma, 5 Second CD, has 500 range.
W: Lifetap Touches the target, dealing 20/40/60/80/100(+60% bonus AD) physical damage and 10/20/30/40/50(+20% AP) and 2/3/4/5/6%(+5% AP) of the target's maximum health in magic damage. You heal for 15/20/25/30/35% of the damage dealt.
Costs 60/90/120/150/180 Plasma, 16/15/14/13/12 Second CD, 200 range.
E: Soul Claw Passive: Every 5th basic attack, your next basic attack will deal 20/30/40/50/60(+30/40/50/60/70% AP) magic damage. 5 Second CD. Spectre only: The passive effect deals 3% of the target's missing health in true damage.
Active: Dissapear from where you are standing, dealing 50/110/170/230/290(+60% AP) magic damage.
Upon reaching target location, you have an immediate Soul Claw ready.
50/90/130/170/190 Plasma, : 30/27/24/21/18 Second CD. 650 teleport range.
Ultimate: Human/Spectre form
Passive : Grants 5/10/20 bonus Plasma regen in human form; basic attacks in spectre form grant 1/2/3 bonus plasma. Also increases spectre form's damage by 10/20/30% (These effects are from leveling the ultimate up.)
Active: switches between the forms.
So what do you guys think?
I designed him to be a melee assassin/mage character. He has clearly defined weaknesses of costs if you just try to get kills, and trying to abuse spectre form is a mistake. He has a relatively high skill cap to master, as his short range. Some things just fit the thematic of a ghost I felt, like the Q and W.
In addition, the spectre's bonus plasma on hit would grant him almost invulnerability, on extremely early phases and extremely late phases. Two countermeasures were made.
W's Cooldown has been increased significantly. This was to prevent him from healing himself up too often, especially with the lowered cost.
EDIT: I have emboldened some changes, to make this a bit easier early, and a lot harder late game. His early costs made it almost impossible to use anything.
