C9 and G2 are locks for Semis and will probably cost past those, too... I see KT maybe giving G2 a hard time. Other than that, it's looking like a pretty solid C9 V G2 finals.

I came to this thread to ask you who you picked for Afreeca vs C9, and I guess this answers that you think Afreeca is clearly going to win.

I think that's also a tough series to call. RNG is MUCH better than Afreeca. GenG is probably similar to Afreeca. C9 managed to take a win off of each of them (but also lost to both of them). I think this series ends up being a tight one, unless Afreeca really turns up the heat compared to how they played in groups (or C9 lets off the gas pedal).

I agree entirely that G2 beating Kt is as a lock is delusional. G2 winning that would be a huge upset. Possible, but insanely unlikely.

Yep I figured easy Afreeca win over C9. Consistency while adapting is key especially when playing in a best-of series and C9 hasnt shown this, especially bc they had to rotate a 7 man roster to just make it to 3rd in NA. No chance on the worlds stage when theyre missing one of their subs especially against a top Korean team

You also have a fresh rookie licorice vs the korean monster Kiin that their entire team can play around in top lane. GG

Quite likely Afreeca vs RNG finals which will be pretty interesting with a top aggressive carry focused top team vs a superstar adc carry team

Have you seen Licorice play at all? If there is 1 player on C9 I have no concern about, it's him. He's showed up pretty big in all of their game (except maybe his Akali game, but that felt more like a comp issue). If they want to take it to him, let em have it.

It's pretty easy to diss on NA, but C9 has shown good play, good drafting and flexibility. They play to win and I think that's a stark difference with every other team coming from NA (this year and in the past).

this is what i think:

Afreeca Freecs Vs C9: C9 win. Afreeca had a relitivel easy group stage. Flash Wolves are generally bad and Phong Vu Buffalo is new. i think i never saw them. and G2 just barely made it past groups i believe. So AF had a easy group. C9 on the other hand. Gen G, the defending champions, RNG, Vitality, both very strong team, and they managed to get 2nd. They proved their worth.

Fnatic Vs EDG: Fnatic Win. iah, fnatic is really strong this year. EDG hasnt been really putting their best efforts in idk. that and TL and MAD team are both bad teams, so they sort of had a easy second to boot.

KT Vs Invictus Gaming: KT win. its....KT....they're basically the only good korean team this year. and they are pretty dang good at that. and against invictus gaming? i think thats a KT win

RNG Vs G2: RNG win. ive seen RNG a lot and they dominate a lot. G2 dont stand a chance imo.

SEMI: C9 Vs Fnatic: Fnatic Win. Iah, Fnatic can probably shut down C9, but not without a fight. i feel fnatic is overall just better than c9. love ya c9, but i dont think youd get far...but ya got this far thats amazing ^^

Kt Rolster Vs RNG: RNG Win. this is where i had SO MUCH difficulty deciding. i cant really explain this, but i have a feeling RNG will win.

FINAL:

ROYAL NEVER GIVE UP VS FNATIC: RNG WIN. Ive looked at their past history together and not once has fnatic been able to beat RNG. MSI 2018 3-0 RNG win when versing fnatic. Worlds 2017 Quarterfinal RNG Vs Fnatic. RNG win 3-1

so to be totally honest, i think RNG will take this.
