To think about the fact that half of Koo's roster (if I remember right) was cut from existing LCK organizations when they had to consolidate to one team. They are now in the world finals. Man I'd hate to be the guy who made the call and said "you know what you're not good enough we're gonna go w/ our other ADC/Top/Support player." I bet it feels good to be sitting at home while the guy you cut plays for a million usd.
Right? That guy's probably facepalming super hard right now.
Hojin (previously Lee before Riot forced him to change his summoner name) Kuro, Pray, and Gorilla were all previously apart of the Najin organisation (Smeb is the only one not from Najin he was with Incredible Miracle 2) but when the one team per organisation restriction came through those players were cut for Najin's current team which is a talented roster that just doesn't play well in shot calling like Koo does.
If you saw the Koo Tigers during the 2015 pre season (when they were Huya Tigers) they were easily the worst team lossing almost every pre season game then they changed to GE Tigers and dominated LCK spring split until lossing 3-0 to SKT in the playoffs then after lossing to Team WE at MSI the team stumbled during the LCK summer split (changed name to Koo Tigers) and only with a late surge added by the utter collapse of CJ Entus managed to make worlds through points total.
Point is the team wasn't always great but they came toghter as a team REALLY WELL, Smeb became arguable the best top laner in LCK when he wasn't even looked at when he was on IM2, same thing with Kuro, before he mastered 
he was a sub par mid laner, and Pray was considered a washed up adc from his glory days of season 2 and 3, Gorilla was still considered a good support and Hojin (Lee) was marked as an average jungler.
Basically I'm saying that it wasn't until the team was assembled that these players really started to perform well so its not as if the Najin organisation just decided to cut all their best players and went with a bunch of srubs like Samsung did (Kappa).
Lets take a minute and realize that not a single player from KOO was included in Riots top 20 player rankings going into worlds. A team in the finals had no members mentioned when the team they just crushed has like All their players ranked highly.
