Am I the only one disappointed?

Seriously am I over reacting to be disappointed in a lot of the pros I like watching because of their reaction to Jatt criticizing the struggles Balls has been having? I know esports players are generally young and may not have experience handling stuff like this maturely but shouldn't the team give at least a minor pr "don't put your foot in your mouth" lecture when they join the team?

Jatt was doing his job in talking about how teams are looking going into worlds, and it wasn't even that much of a disparaging comment bc he even said "solo que isn't everything." People are blowing up like it was unreasonable to say, but at the same time solo que is a very real representation of mechanics and the argument "balls is trying different stuff out more than other pros" seems shallow. If he's trying stuff out to adjust to the new meta great, but being demoted from diamond 1 to 2 means he's struggling to win w/ the new meta stuff and that's at least something to be concerned about. Not keeping up w/ the meta can hurt a team come tournament. If he's not experimenting w/ meta picks, then there's the even bigger question of why is someone boot camping and taking things more casual. The point of the trip is to improve for worlds and if he's not scriming and is playing solo que he should probably either be refining mechanics on champs he wants to be able to play, or learning new meta champs. If he's not succeeding on new meta champs there is the risk he could fall behind meta by tournament time, and if he is struggling w/ mechanics there is a risk that w/ a carry top lane meta incoming for worlds good team play may not be enough w/out the ability to keep up in lane. The criticism was pretty legitimate and I'm kind of disappointed in Jatt for apologizing (probably bc he works for riot and was pressured to) and also in some of the pros I like who handled this in middle school drama fashion rather than professionals having a discussion or maybe saying "yeah our players/peer haven't been taking the time to improve in solo que even though they're boot camping, but xyz defense of that (ie maybe he's been slacking off on his non scrim time to stay in a healthy mental spot and really focus on scrims and team play)"

Sorry guys, but I think this is one of the more embarrassing responses the community has had to something lately (which is saying something given the recent youtuber incident wink wink nudge nudge).

Jatt is being realistic. C9 with their amazing run on the Gauntlet for sure, but the World stage is a totally different beast. They are in probably the closest group of the bunch, but not for them, but for the other 3 teams.

If being a realistic down to Earth professional analyst is a crime... then I guess he's guilty?

You are right, but you do have to realize the youth of everyone involved, I feel funny saying this, being 17, but almost everyone participating in e-sports is very young, fans, players, and casters really. When Jatt said what he said, I agreed with him and was concerned, and I am a huge C9 fan. And even if he was wrong, it is his job for Pete's sake. He is literally paid to compare players skill and draw conclusions.

I love C9 but, let's be realistic here. C9 made a lot of mistakes even in their gauntlet run, so I don't see C9 making it out of groups.
