What's wrong about being a TSM fan?

This exactly. I get lots of flak myself from my buddies for being both a TSM fan, and an enduring Oakland Raiders fan(in San Diego, no less). We all have teams/players that we like(such as Unicorns of Love/Dyrus), and teams/players that we don't like, or hate(Team Liquid/Piglet, for example). Salt gets spilled and thrown by fans of various teams.

Don't know why this is getting downvoted unless people are being offput by the term 'sports.'

This is exactly the reason. Even if you don't like football or baseball (like myself), if you listen to their conversations all of it boils down to "Fuck your team because it's not mine." I'm 97% certain that it's the same here.

The comparison to the Oakland Raiders of old would be more accurate. They're a big powerhouse team, that has made the finals of the NA LCS time and time again. They've got that swagger and aura that a lot of people despise(like the old Oakland Raiders). They've gone to the World Championship tournament time and time again. They've got a lot of strong playoff and Bo5 experience.

The Yankees have earned their swagger, their cockiness, with all those World Series champion banners. The Oakland Raiders have been to the top of the mountain a number of times as well, though their brash attitude was not just from the Super Bowl wins, but also how they played on the field.

When you win, that gives you confidence. That gives you the option to start playing mind games even more, with that cockiness. If you rent space in your opponent's head, that gives you a big advantage.

But.. Most of those are wrong..

1. It WAS a big deal. Imagine how much people would freak out if Cloud 9 did the same thing? NA has been abused and berated by every other region over being bad. Winning an international tournament is HUGE for the west. Even non-TSM fans were happy that salty eurotrash had to eat their words.

2. I didn't really follow MSI. Noone really says that, TSM themselves say that they played bad and it was easily their worst event ever.

3. Only unreasonable fans think that. Most teams here are pretty even. TSM is on par with TIP and Liquid.

4. Bjergsen is really good. He's respected all around the world for very, very good reasons.

5. WildTurtle had a rough patch. He was out of position all the time, and didn't contribute that well. He's gotten better, but it's hard to notice because of how focused the meta is on top/jungle.

6. Regi Loco and Bjergsen do most of the trash talking. They know they're a good team, and being beaten by teams like Team 8 is embarrassing.

7. Reginald single handedly got them back on track. He was more toxic and unhelpful as a player than he is a manager/coach. Why do you think they replaced him for Bjergsen?

Also, TSM IS a top team. Their best of 1s are kinda garbage, but they dominate best of 5s. Gravity was a top tier team for the entire split, then they drop down BELOW TSM. Teams rise and fall, and right now TSM is on the rise.
