Isn't it time to stop revering Faker?

Hearing Deficio say Faker is the best mid laner in the world so sagely and mater of factly just doesn't sit right with me. Faker was great. Faker was at his prime in 013. But hes making too many mistakes fumbles and poor decisions to still be considered the best at this point. Hes not playing as good as he when it was relevant to call him the best in the world (CM PUNK!). I mean surely i can't be the ONLY one that thinks this? Fakers good, Faker's greats. But faker is NOT the best, certainly not ANYMORE at least.

Who IS the best then? That is for another topic but i HAVE to argue its definitely NOT faker.

Faker is and has been, without a doubt, the best player in the world for a multitude of reasons. Look at his cs in any game, his mechanics on champions who aren't even focused on outplays. Sure he may have looked flashier in S3 because the midlane meta was very assassin focused, but the fact that he can still destroy his opponents on a farming mage or a supportive champion proves his skill. Just because he makes lees flashy plays/outplays doesn't make him any less skilled, it makes him adaptable which is arguably one of the best qualities to have in professional league. When you watch him you can see that every little thing he does had a plan behind it and is part of the next step in the game. I certainly think that there are midlaners who are starting to come close to his level and are very good in their own right, but I still think that Faker has them beat on almost every level.

I think they constantly say it that eventually it's just meh

ESPECIALLY when all he plays lately is wave clear champions because of the meta.

Though when he does do well like with Syndra vs Jensens Cass, it warrants that they say it
