Technically, Fnatic is on a 19 game win streak. Because they also won Game 5 vs UOL in the Spring Finals. lulz

Umm the record is laughable if you watch all of league. In the lpk skt was on a 17 game win streak until they lost 1 game in a bo3 but are still undefeated in bo3. It's just a whole other caliber really

What is lpk again? And no, they're not undefeated - they lost to CJ. They also dropped games to teams like Samsung. I guess you're just a korean fanboy, who can't see and understand the game, but bottom teams in Korea are pretty darn trash. And mid tier teams are just mediocre. Korea is not as great anymore, so SKT's streak isn't quite as impressive as you'd think (of course they're still a main contender for the worlds, but they're not as perfect as you'd like them to be, their shot calling is off quite often).

14-0 in bo3 right now . 24/3 record right now in total. Obviously talking about this split. And I'm in no way a fanboy. Fanatic is a great team that the majority of the time wins off one mistake their opponent makes. Skt mid and top have almost the highest gpm in league. An you want to talk about teams they play against being weak haha all of eu and na are looking weak. The games are laughable compared to lpl and lpk

Again, what the hell is lpk? And I'm telling you, CJ just beat SKT in bo3. Get your facts straight. And yeah, all of EU looks weak when you compare them to Fnatic. Just like all of LCK looks weak compared to SKT. Both teams are world class, that are playing in weak leagues. Simple as that.

Well, Fnatic have always had a history of looking down their noses at the rest of the teams in the LCS even when they weren't doing well, so I guess it makes sense they'd keep doing it now more than ever.

It's just such a shame that a team totally undeserving of the honor will now forever be associated with "perfection".

True. I try to remind myself that they're young folks and young folks can sometimes come off ultra-cocky when they don't mean to but the specific way Fnatic goes about their cockiness has always rubbed me the wrong way.

I have the same issues with TSM in NA and Fnatic and TSM may as well be sister teams, given they seem to have a lot in common, attitude-wise and how they play up those attitudes to 11.

It's less I think they're "undeserving" in a sense of their mechanical skills or that they somehow cheated. Just... they outright act like the villains of a sports movie and I want them to get the smirks wiped off their faces instead of seemingly being rewarded for that behavior by these kinds of wins and then the endless, tired, butt kissing by the shoutcasters.

These kind of wins... you mean like they pick Trundle, eh? So basically you're just a salty player, a slave to the meta. If you see anyone picking an off meta champ in a solo queue, he's automatically a troll, right? And if pro players are trying out something new they also are trolling and showing bad manners. Yellowstar picked Trundle in 2 consecutive games, so I'd assume he wasn't actually trolling - he was trying something new. And by the way, meta is actually created by pro players and new picks. Meta game is a FREAKING TREND, not the rule how you should be playing the game. Regarding Fnatic cockiness, you're either spreading rumours yourself, or are using social media where these kind of rumours are being spread. Yellowstar was always a very humble player, who respected his opponents - no matter who it was. The rest of Fnatic, excluding Rekkless who played for one split for Fnatic are a completely new organization. And only Huni, out of all of them, could be considered cocky, but whenever he's acting like that, he's doing it with a laugh, never really being serious. He wants to be the best top laner in the world, and I don't see anything wrong about that. But he doesn't really talk down his opponents. And when we take old Fnatic into consideration, no person there you could consider cocky (Cyanide would often talk shit about some bad moves/decisions their opponents would make - the same way he'd talk shit about HIS OWN bad decisions/move). TLDR; Stop spreading/believing in rumours.

Dude, my favorite team in both NA and EU is UOL, so I have no issue with off-meta picks at all.

And I dunno, I've been watching since Season 2 and I don't really follow much in the way of e-sport social media outside of the games but given how they act on stage and in interviews, "humble" is not a word I would use to describe how Fnatic talks or acts, no matter who's been on the team. And I really doubt Huni's "just joking". His entire attitude has that "acts like he's joking when he gets called on it but he's actually not" attitude I've seen over the years from... well... WildTurtle or Dyrus.

And, honestly, no offense but you're coming off a bit more salty than I am. Like, I'm sorry I can't just mindlessly bow down and worship at the First Church of Fnatic but, like I said, they just rub me the wrong way and I can't let their bad attitudes go.

I'm not a fan of Fnatic, never been, never will be. My first team to cheer for was CLG.eu, which transformed into EG, Alliance and now Elements. I always admired Froggen's mechanical skill, which is world class to this day. But I don't bellitle Fnatic's achievements and make it sound like they've got there through some sort of foul play, because I don't like them or whatever. You're free to hate them for whatever you want, but like I said, don't spread false rumours about them being a cocky bunch, because they aren't. The number of LCS teams (both NA and EU) that come out as much bigger pricks than Fnatic, are in double digits.

I think you just don't know the meaning of 'arrogant' honestly. I think you need to brush up on that, because I would say FNatic is probably the least arrogant(although Huni has a bit of pride and his English is still a bit lackluster which can combine to make him seem a bit that way, but it's easy to see he's just trying to keep his team in a good mood even when they're not happy with their performance) in the LCS outside of the teams at the bottom of the table.

XPeke is another player who is not at all arrogant. He is constantly saying he needs to improve and when they got into LCS Origen's only goal was to make playoffs. They considered themselves a middle of the pack team until over halfway through the split. That's not 'arrogance'... he's proud of the team he's put together, and he has every right to be... but he isn't arrogant.

In both cases when they talk about how they could perform better it's always come off as less "humility" and more "Yeah, we just stomped those guys super hard but we could have stomped them even HARDER" which is a pretty goddamn arrogant attitude to have.

Any sort of humility applied to their comments feels less like a result of what they're actually saying and more how it's edited/framed on the broadcasts. Which... is an unfortunate trend for popular teams, e-sports or otherwise.

You see it that way because you are already prejudiced against them. I don't know what happened to make you prejudiced against them, maybe one of them peed on your dog by accident, but it has led to you letting your personal feelings colour your interpretation. You can always see that they're upset with their mistakes, that they're not satisfied with their performance. They never say 'we should've beat them harder' but rather 'we won, but we made these mistakes, we need to clean those up'. Whenever they talk it is ALWAYS focusing on their own performance, they never talk about how the other people weren't good enough for them, but rather how they see these faults in their own performance and they need to fix those. It's a great attitude, and one everyone should learn from.

If everyone in solo queue had their attitude, there would be no toxicity or trolling, because everyone would be focused on their own personal performance and not trolling each other.

They're one of the most humble teams in the LCS. Despite a perfect split, they're still constantly striving to correct their mistakes and aren't satisfied with winning. They have an amazing attitude overall....

if you want bad attitude, look at froggen. That guy GENUINELY looks down on everyone else, even when he's losing.
