Makes me kind of glad i never was one to watch the competitive scene that much. Likely the same situation i usually run into in regular matches regardless of the role i play.
ADC being the penetration rush

and screw the natural 'Marksman' gimmick of Critical hits and attack speed in favor of flat armor penetration and just GG everything to death into a snowball then roam and snowball.
BS the mid lane with scummy styles of kit measures whether its zoning as

or just playing the constant lane bully champion who seems to magically get away with little repercussion minion damage like
(namely Q spam all day at first),
(cause what other champion has silly full skill rotation combos that let them burn a trickle of mana and get away with it constantly.
Then you got the troll like super tank slash ez to punish enemy from being able to CS like
,
and
, sometimes
, BUT DEFINITELY
who can out CS you if your not one of those champions or a similar OP top type, poke you and have stats and abilities to keep lane dominance to where they can push a lane all the way up, recall, and soon as you manage to push the lane back they already walked on back and continue the process except with better efficency OR you end up with a bunch of minions from the push up easily doing turret damage if you try to back.
Especially after they grabbed
and then it becomes impossible to take control of the lane less they go roam instead, but due to the large move speed boost they can easily run on back from mid lane in time to 'gank and kill you' even if their jungler is not involved. Even if its suppose to be a tank champion's go to item for mobility, so they aren't screwed over by other champions who stack % mobility items, the amount of flat movement speed granted by it is way too strong that they might as well be running at the speed of a teemo's W active already at max rank, constantly till they punch something.
Lets not even forget the scummieness with the Jungle whether it be Attack speed hyper carry types like
and
who can single'handedly use self built burst+attack speed kits combined with particular jungle items and just melt you less then 4 seconds after they jumped on you, hit you with a stun CC, enemy laner is already on top of you and then your dead even after they took 1 to 2 shots from a turret when you were running back under it while being hit and they still were able to tower dive you before the shots could stack enough hits to kill even just 'one' of them.

brought a good new meaning to "Item+Kit Abuse" by using their own 'mechanics', attack speed 'burst gain' and the use of
, Red Buff and Kog'ma's W or Twitch's Q: to effectively pull rambo melt down moves that bot lane was basically just being feasted on by such things.
At times like this it almost makes me think just like how

are in need of serious item nerf downs, just like how the Lethality change will completely eliminate the snowball power that "Flat Armor Penetration" came to be (seriously level 9 is about 45~53 armor, getting ghost blade by then is ripping up quite a bit of armor at that point combined with rune/mastery effects), Even
might need to get another nerf on its pocket like how it lost its little 'sated devour mini'game' and had its gimmick tossed onto
instead.
While on top of some champions suffering from mana costs are not given the same cost issues on those same scummy champions with so much more utility gimmicks on abilities yet no high mana costs to make the ability to spam them often actually could put 'those' particular scummy champs into a point where early on those champions need to manage their mana much better and have to actually take risks on constantly poking the enemy champion just because they can ez mode out range and poke them.
Bottom Line: LoL's only fun when the scum factors ain't involved. Hurry up with the 10 ban selection roster Rito so we can atleast boot out 3 to 7 of those super scummy champs alot more effectively if you guys aren't going to address the meta pub picks either.~

Yeah I'm disappointed in the champion diversity but then I just searched on youtube for different champions or just played "non-meta" picks myself.
It also had the lowest diversity in terms of actual races. 3 Korean teams made the semifinals, all 3 korean teams were #1 seeds in their groups, and more than half of the teams at worlds had korean players on them.
League will always have shit balance because of Riot-imposed design restrictions.
