That's fked up and fast I'm sure he didn't get a free account Riot give for pro players that start off in Diamond.

He's Korean. It doesn't take Koreans that long to have their way with NA.

Quick, someone sign that man, as clearly solo-queue skill means he'll do well in LCS right? (just going to ignore the fact that the top of NA solo queue has been literally filled with mid-tier NACS players for a while, with names such as GG/shiphtur/quas being #1 at some point during the year).

Hes on Team Liquid.....

LMAO

the only other reason another team will be able to sign him is if Riot decide to not partner with TL

And also being at the top doesn't mean you will do good in LCS, just look at C9 Ray, he finish 2 Season as Rank 1 on NA server but hes not doing that well in LCS

Yeah, that's another thing that I kinda pointed out in a post a while ago. Basically, solo-queue is only really good at proving which people have a ton of time and a ton of luck on their side (requiring little actual skill if you can constantly get carried). Because of this, players on lesser and/or challenger teams will often find themselves doing really well in solo queue as they don't have to worry about things like scrims, or playoffs, or worlds, or stuff that actually matters in competitive LCS. From what I recall, the only players in the past 3 years to both make it to worlds and hold top-10 solo queue challenger spots were all on this iteration of misfits, which even then is "kinda" wary as it's one of the EU ones which has about 1/50th of the playerbase of NA.

He cud have transfer his KR account or a smurf KR account into NA

C9 Ray does that every split, he transfer his account back and forth whenever split end and prolly go back to play on KR server and transfer back to NA when new split start again

Quote Steve - "Mickey is second to Faker"

LMAO

Maybe he's really good. Maybe he already had an account in high elo. Maybe he had a different name and changed his name to be something recognizable as him. Don't be one of those people who goes around assuming Riot does scummy things left and right

LegendmakerGX1 votes

Where did i even call Riot a scummy thing? I said he never got one of those world account player get when they need to transfer to practice for a event, he got all the way up on his own and it is quite fast.

You do understand that you're entire post sounds sarcastic, right?

Ya I'm starting to think that people are reading my post wrong. All I ment was that's crazy how Mickey didn't get those Diamond free account Riot give to pro when they go to world and he was able to get 1st place already. (He didn't import his account since it isn't connected to his Korean account.

To be fair he's Korean. Koreans tend to be much better than anyone else at League. It's fully plausible that Mickey got the account to challenger rank one on his own account.

They give pro players high mmr accounts. The rank does not start higher. This is because they are pro's and that is their skill level.

When professional players come to a new region for tournaments riot gives them an account with high diamond mmr to allow them to get into high elo faster
