Final Thoughts of Worlds.

I made my prediction immediately after the Semis ended. I told all of you that this was not a close series to call, this was not hard to call. IG was bound to win this 3-0, and 3-1 IF FNC GOT LUCKY IN A GAME. This was due completely to the fact that bot lane is even skill wise, jungle is even skill wise, but the solo laners were so heavily in favor of IG that it was impossible for FNC to win the way they were winning. The only way I thought FNC could take a game is if IG played absolutely horribly and gave FNC a really early lead.

Congrats to IG, thank you for performing at your best in all 3 games. And thank you for shutting up the west in their thinking that this gap is closing.

I am very sad that this was the finals and the bottom half of the bracket was so stacked. I personally think that reseeding would create a much more exciting finals because it wouldn't land the top 3 teams on one side of the bracket. The finals would have been so much better if it were KT vs IG. Sad that this is the way it pans out, in a boring stomp of an overrated team.

To the fans of the west, I feel you, but your prediction of FNC 3-2 was extremely bold as this went the exact way it should have. Solo lanes got crushed in all aspects and IG has better teamplay. To make a prediction of FNC 3-2 purely because of group stage which was played in an entirely different meta is hilarious. It is incredibly naive, and proves that you lack comprehension high enough to see a meta change.

Anyways I laugh at those who flamed my post because "there is no way IG wins 3-0, FNC is just so much better", well look what happened. IG 3-0d in dominating fashion.

Other takeaways are that Korea would have been in the finals if not coming up against the world champions in the quarterfinals... We could talk about how EU had a good showing here and made history. Congrats to Cloud 9 and making it to semis for the first time for your region. Well done to the west, but I would question how much of it is the meta, and how much of it is the gap closing. I am very much in favor of the earlier statement. This meta very much suited the west against Korea.

Anyways was a good Quarterfinals to watch, everything after due to seeding was just garbage to watch :( Please reseed the bracket after groups so we can have entertaining Semis and Finals.
