Viewers For #Worlds Already Dropping Like Flies

People super hyped (for some reason) for worlds.

Everyone hoping badly it won't be a 3-0
SKT stomps game 1
Viewers started at about 507k in about mid game one (when I started keeping track)
Dropped from 509k at the end of the game to 413k in about 5 minutes after the game one completely roflstomp just on Twitch.

YouTube viewers dropped but weren't as many in general, Twitch is STILL going down everytime I refresh (down another 1k from the last time I refreshed 30 seconds ago just to check), and Azubu didn't exactly start high.

I know there are other sites, but these are the ones linked by Riot's site, and viewership dropped considerably on every one of them after the complete first game stomp.

Hate to say I called it, but for all the people that were arguing with me <_< I called it. Losing viewers even faster than last years worlds after game 3.

Nothing Riot can do about it, but to be quite honest, after 2 straight years of one-sided stomps in the Finals, this third one could really hurt worlds next year if it isn't more competitive.

Season 3 3-0 Season 4 3-1 (with what would have been 3-0 but we already know Samsung admitted they just wanted to have fun over winning in the game they lost) Season 5 likely 3-0

(oh and viewers all the way down to 389k now just in the time I've posted this)

Well ya, no one wants to watch something they feel they know the outcome to. If you saw the score to a Championship sports game before watching it would you want to watch it? Baseball World Series viewership declines when it goes 2-0. Nature of the beast of all best of.

That doesn't surprise me.

It's very very clear that SKT is going in win, and it's very very likely that Koo won't even take a game, they're already on their last leg.

EDIT: Not unless SKT lets them for shiggles

What's your point? It's a sport if one team is that much better than the other stomps will happen. No one wanted to watch an NotreDame-Alabama championship either and the Seahawks-Broncos superbowl was an absolute massacre, fans didn't whine that the NCAA/NFL had to do soemthing about it because those teams earned their place no different than SKT & KOO earned theirs. It's up to KOO & the other teams that played SKT to make sure its competitive not Riot.
