how to turn OFF esports notifications

how can I permenantly turn OFF esports notifications? I hate that thing always popping up every half hour. I kee thinking I have an invite or something. really annoying.

It's in your client settings, 4th option down - "Suppress Esports Notification Popups"

how do i get there? in my main client, to the right of the ruens/mastery pages, there is the gear thing with options. but that isnt 'general preferences'. just options.
