Splitting Champs

I am upset with IMT's loss. I truly believed they would stomp C9 but wow lol, I was wrong. I had a question. I saw Huni splitting most of the games he played and was wondering, why not play someone he is good with like Quinn who would do much better against the comp C9 had? Picking off meta picks could work sometimes, remember that game in EU where a team picked morde and kalista and they ended up winning? I mean that game against Gnar, Quinn would have been an ideal pick.
