PSA to all people who are/were on the IMT hype train

What did you expect? This team is new and getting 1st place in NA means nothing (except that they were good at cheese strats and Best of 1s).

IMT had 3 UNANSWERED questions:

  1. Could they perform well in a Best of "x" series?

  2. Could they adapt to the patch?

  3. Can they perform on an international stage?

I found it pretty funny that people put so much faith/pressure into this untested team. On the flip side, I found it hilarious that people gave this team so flak when they lost 0-3 to TSM. Like really? Use your brain and think about how they've done nothing thus far to indicate how they would perform in a series.

Because 4 out of 5 of their players just played in worlds last year, and everyone of them has B05 experience. Also their is misreading the meta, then their is just outright ignoring it, we don't know how they adapted to the patch because they didn't even attempt to play it right. No one from NA can perform on an international stage.

You don't even have to be a fan of that team, this is all pretty much common sense. IMT went 17-1 of course they got hyped, especially when they played more aggressive than most team. I find it funny that people like you are saying you knew all along they would end up losing in the play offs that bad.

Hard to call what they were doing a 'cheese' strat. They were playing outside the meta, but it won them 17 out of 18 games and it's fair to say CLG literally prepared an anti-IMT strat for that game.
