This is why I did not want TSM to go at MSI.

They overextend. They don't show respect to their opponents.

They play subpar to what they play in the regular season everytime.

What a poor performance so far VS the GBM (GBM also played very well not to discredit them).

Unless they pull the reverse sweep and really up their play, they are done with this round.

Pretty much sums it up. Anyone with common sense to catch these points and then some would know what could have happened.

If anything, this performance gives a really strong boon of confidence for FW and SUP should GAM close this series out.

For me, the bigger problem is that there's nothing "good" that can happen from them being at MSI. Unless they beat SKT (which is ridiculously unlikely), they're at best going to be slightly better than 3 "dead" regions and an IWC team and at worst will not even make it into the top-6/lose the qualifier thingies. Including the fact that teams from NA/EU get massively overhyped all the time (2016 IMT), and we could very easily see a summer in which every possible outcome will equal a huge failure to the fans.

TSM is literally an embarrassment to NA right now. You could call in Phoenix1 or Cloud 9 and they wouldn't even play better, they'd just play to their opponent.

TSM steamrolls NA just to fail internationally because other regions don't back down to them.

EDIT: Gigabyte is actually really good, the last game was really close. I'm glad to see TSM get it back together and I'm glad to see wildcard teams doing well.

GAM would have won more of those games if... they didn't pick Sona support (wtf moment) and keep giving Sven Lee Sin. Levi's two top jungle picks are Lee and Kha, so it was odd that he kept taking Graves (which failed for Sven in first two games). Levi should have gone Lee in the later games when available (games 4-5, I think). They should have kept banning Ivern in game 5, too.

Was there a lot of TSM hype? I thought they were expected to finish in the bottom half of teams this tournament.

The IWC teams are getting better and better each season though so if there is anything to be hyped about it is that. Can you imagine if the other regions get good enough they can have a football (soccer) style "World Cup" each year?

Korea would still probably win it but if it was a larger double elimination Bo5 style tournament they could actually be upset by a team if they are caught off guard by a teams strategy.

I wanted C9 to go because they are fighters as are IWC teams. GAM and the like love to just brawl it out and so does C9. TSM always trying to make some masterful play and when it works they look awesome, but when it doesn't they tend to get eaten up in teamfights and look pedestrian. Bjerg also ticks me off his macro is slow compared to everyone else. He's a mechanical god, but he's always late on the roam, vision control, etc.

GAM will now be known as GAT, the Gigabyte Tardos. They took a winning game 4 and threw it on finishing push they couldn't pull off. Respawns were up for TSM and base turrets still hurt. They went from winning majorly, to losing 4 ppl, to losing baron, to losing the game all within the span of a few minutes. GG GAT!
