Not sure what the challenger series is called now for short but i feel like it is way more intresting and fun to watch now compare to watching TSM/TL/C9 all the time it just felt like something unique to watch with a different team. What do you guys think? like it or hate it?

Called NACS (while the euro one is EUCS). I'm actually in the opposite boat, as with the european exodus there's more or less a dearth of talent in EUCS now (night being the only quality player we could see there) while NACS has 2 teams who could possibly force a bo5 against P1, assuming P1 manages to remain in this "Carry us korean talent plz" state.

Lol WHAT? EUCS has a TON of talent this Split. Blanc, Memento, Kasing, Noxiak, Upset, Gillius, SmittyJ as the most famous names, without even mentioning the less knwon up and coming talent (OG aka former WAR roster, Ruin-Jiizukè-Minitroupax for Giants, Thal-Moojin-Magifelix on RB, ecc, ecc...)

And NighT will not be playing at all as he has officially retired from League because of burnout issues (let's hope he could return at some point), he is still listed as sub because his contract with Giants hasn't expired yet

I think he meant compared to NA. EU has talent across the board but it's a little bit weaker ( not elephant to ant size weaker) but like 60-40.
Huh, didn't know NIght retired so soon in his career, he only played in like 1 split or something that sucks.

Err...how about no? In NA CS you actually have:

  • the Meme Dream Stream Team that suck because is not a real pro team at all and has people playing off-role in the jungler so it is embarassing to call them a team
  • CLG Academy team that is a fool rookie team and has won 1 game (not series, game) if you don't count the series vs the above mentioned Meme Dream Stream Team - and it is not like NA CS Qualifier Is competitive so you can argue that the other teams are actually scary good because CLG Black is good -
  • Big God Jackals which is a team that is a mixture of native NA CS caliber players (hint: NA CS in the past hasn't really been good) + a pair of decent/good Brasilians guys as imports (but those are taking import slots that you could have given to higher level players...it make sense from an org point of view because they are a BR org, but we are talking about technical level) and has so far won 0 combined games in the series played vs top 3 teams (TS and GCU, they still have to face EUN)

EUN, TS and GCU are undoubtely strong, but let's not talk about NA CS like it is a very talented league when you look at overall level. NA CS is stacked at the top but is bad at the bottom.

EU CS actually has talent across the board. PSG, Schalke, Red Bull have a Number of LCS/LCK former players, Giants took the best guys left out of Spring Qualifiers + Gillius and just before the start of CS won the Spanish league Cup (Spanish League being the richer and strongest national league in EU, and they won It without the upgraded players they added for CS in top and support positions), OG acquired the WAR roster that won the EU Qualifiers (and EU Qualifiers Is a tournament filled with former CS and some LCS players). Except for the new WAR replacement roster that was build at last second and is a question mark you can see that the talent is distributed across the entire CS (and even new WAR still run a roster made by former CS players like Woolite, Dan, Jwaow, former LCS sub AoD and Larssen who is a known young talent in midlane that won English leagues multiple times, so they are not terrible as level)

NighT has played a year in KR Challenger, barely failing to qualify to LCK before coming to EU, he has a short career but he had played Two years straight between KR Challenger and EU LCS

I suppose, swing and miss. I don't cover EU as much as NA. Out of my element.
EU has players that I'v either never heard of(which could be a good thing) or a bunch of players that haven't really been all that great to begin with being the only names on the teams besides the ones I'v not seen play yet.

How you would rate a team made by Licorice/Wiggily/Fenix/Rikara/Baiano in the NALCS? Because that's basically the equivalent of Giants roster to EU CS, except for the fact that CS competition is obviously conparatively easier to beat than LCS one

So 5 top players in NA CS = Giants, pretty much ? I have no clue nor on Giants considering each time they make it to the LCS they look like crap but different splits = different players but wouldn't be surprised if GIA s$its the bed. They can do all they want in the CS but once LCS comes( Which I have no idea if CS even matters at this point with franchising ) they will most likely be a 8th place team. Behind the same ol' teams G2-H2K-FNC-UOL-

NO -.-" I guess you didn't got the comparison at all

Basically, Giants has some of the best young players that hadn't previously make the cut to EUCS with their previous teams (Ruin and Jiizuke were the best players of their own team that were the losers in the finals of EUCS Spring Qualifier, and Minitroupax got pretty close to qualify to CS too with K1ck) + a very good veteran in that league that has played a good level on that league and has scratched the league above at low tier level (Gillius being a high level CS veteran)

Basically, Giants put together some of the best players of EU Qualifiers (the league below) that weren't in EU CS, and it would be similar to put some of the best young players currently in NACS (the league below) in the NA LCS

They do not seem super strong now, but they have a lot of talent and room to grow...and keep in mind that Giants that I used in the example IS NOT a favorite in EUCS at all (heck, some people which underrated them because being relatively unknown predicted them to be one of the worst teams in EUCS, which speaks volume about how the talent is spread across the board).
