Who will be the final team for NA ?

III BAKURYU III ··1 votes·678 views

Ok not going to lie I started reading the information about the Teams of Team Dragon Knights, Impulse and Renegades but after a while kinda started to drift off and not care about what they did as its mostly confidential so I really just focused on the Verdict and I thought the teams had until the 18th to sell their spots and its the 20th and no word on who will be the final team. Does anyone have any leads on who it may be?

Have a Good One !

Apparently Vexx gaming's co-owner bought TDK as a part of a seperate venture (in the sense that vexx doesn't own TDK now, but rather the co-owner does). Oh, and TIP has also apparently been sold as well (links to both things are here if you wanna have a look see).

Thank you for the effort dude really ! ;]
Again its hidden no one knows who or what team has bought TIP spot its blank. With all this mystery I just hope its not the same players that were once on TIP. I HOPE the Team Impulse players find a great Challenger team spot and I hope for the best in their future but I don't like watching that team. I hope its not the same team but with a different name.

TiP is leagues above any of the challenger teams, no point in replacing them with a team that will give free wins to other LCS teams. Even APEX isn't all that good and will most likely finish in the bottom 3.

C9 has a Challenger team, I would rather watch Hai-Balls-Lemon over Team Impulse

I'm actually curious to see what Apex does with its challenger team, now that Crumbz is coaching it. Don't get me wrong, I think he's past his prime as a player. As an actual teacher though, I'm thinking he could become something similar to what prolly is for h2k.

Well at the moment they have close to 40 man roster so they have that going for them. On a serious note team chemistry is very important and with that many players they will switch players over and over and that will mess up the players groove, in my mind.

The difference of course being that Apex's will probably perform equally with or without swaps whereas I entirely expect c9's to have a 90% winning percentage with hai and around a 30% winning percentage without him. If there was ever one player who you could say was the lifeblood/"essence" of his team, it would definitely be Tom Brady Hai.

Nice 11-5 2008 without Tom Brady and I would not be surprised if NE still makes in into playoffs.
Hai is C9 and C9 is Hai thats why I don't think C9 will do well this next split.

Tom Brady's started 6 superbowls and won 4, name how many Cassel has won. Somewhat irrelevant, so I'll move on.

I'm actually thinking we could see a massive shift in c9 next split. While I don't see them being relegated or anything, if their "starting roster" ends up being impact/meteos/jensen/sneaky/bunny then we could potentially see at least three of those players be swapped around. Impact would probably be the most likely, followed by Jensen being swapped for Hai (in an effort to have Bunny actually learn from Hai in an actual game instead of all this jibber jabber), followed by bunny being swapped out for Lemon should bunny still not get it. This feels like a repeat of summer of last year, as I don't see them winning a series vs any of TSM/TL/CLG/IMT/Echofox and could expect incredibly close series' with the revamped/"next superteam" NRG and an incredibly underestimated Apex.

I wish the rankings wasn't off points so it would be easier explaining it but I just don't see C9 doing well at all. Lets say they don't switch anyone on the team stays for the full split.

Each team will play a minimum 36 Games total for NA and a Maximum 54 games total. I see close to 43-44 games for C9, they will take a few games off other teams but for the most part they will end in 7th-8th in points this year just my prediction.

If the team remains the same I see it finishing with a 30% winning percentage. They'll keep it close with Apex/NRG but will fall to everyone else. They definitely won't be making any sort of playoff push, but they're without question going to be better than NV/whatever team ends up playing for Team Impulse.

C9 has a challenger team to sell the spot and so Rush can get residency, not to play in the LCS eventually, sister teams aren't allowed anymore also.

Also, impulse's jungler is one of the best jungler in NA, if they can upgrade some of their laners ( top and bot looking at you ) they could easily be a top 6 team.

well that sucks, Changed since Curse-Gravity before or after that? Yeah I mean TIP as a whole is fine but I don't care much for Gate.

Can't the C9 Challenger team just..... Change its their name ?

It changed in S4 when both Samsung teams crushed everyone at worlds and Riot didn't like the fact that 1 team could monopolize the whole tournament.

Also, they'd need to dissociate from C9, who would pay their salaries, where would they live ? And no way C9 give up Hai ( who's still a share holder of C9 I believe. ).

What you don't understand if both C9 AND the C9 challenger player team DON'T want to leave C9. Balls isn't top tier anymore, and will most likely move to coaching or something next year. They're just doing this so Rush get residency and they can do a team with Rush, Jensen and Impact.

I have a huge problem with C9 lets go back to memory lane shall WE.............................Shall we ! Taric ;]

Ok c9 was great with Balls-Meteos-hai-Lemon-Sneaky ( Hai retired because of his wrist) Enter Incarnation ( started losing but it wasn't because of the NEW guy it was none other than ..... METEOS ( rip ) ( SO they brought back HAI......... ok C9 want a long term with incarnation who then becomes Jensen and Next thing that happens. Hai is still playing and its like if your still playing why not just form back the old C9 team. You know the 1 that was great.

Impact vs Balls Communication is key thats why C9 was so good everyone on team could understand what each other was saying. Can we say that about Impact or Rush (for the most part)

Impact and Rush speak good enough english. Balls isn't a top tier player anymore, he's been dead weight for a while now. Hai is also mechanically weak, minus the shot calling, Bunny is way better than him. Also Hai has been wanting to retire I think.

Old C9 would be crushed by most current top tier NA teams. Meteos's jungle style isn't very good anymore, so hopefully he learned his lesson and changed it.

To be fair I know the 10 games a day of Solo Q and only getting to D2 in Korea but Lets not forget that every top laner had the 1v2 lane swap and with C9 and their new roster its only natural that balls got behind. But for the most part I do agree with you about balls.

Bunny is ok mechanically nothing amazing but a little bit better but not saying much.

I think he has, once a farming jungler I think Meteos will do more ganking early and often but it might not go so well. Expect Meteos and sneaky to die together as I see this split as their last together and/ or Sneaky last C9 split.

Yeah, I think sneaky enjoy the streaming money. He's still a very good ADC tho, and could keep on playing.

They could, but they wouldn't make any money off that. Teams don't choose to own multiple spots because they have better chances at making worlds, they do so to eventually sell one/make a massive profit off it (like an investment of sorts).

Oh, and the idea that Procxin was "one of the best in NA" last year is funny. Look at literally every "fail LOL plays" compilation from the spring split and you're guaranteed to find 5 or 6 ones of him getting randomly caught out/dying for no reason.

I didn't say he was? Like I said I don't like watching Team Impulse

  1. Gate sucks he came in for Xiao but did ok nothing special in the playoffs awhile back.
  2. Gate support was one of the worst game play in history( and the funny thing was that was his MAIN role, TIP brought GATE in for support and He looked horrible.
  3. Players that I have never seen before I can't remember if the players currently on TIP are the same ones that was for the 2016 spring but I do know after week 1 each time their games would be up next I would make a sandwich 5 mins later their games would be over.

Balls is 30th, or 31st (depending on if you trust lolking or OP.gg) on the entire NA ladder right now. Higher than almost every other pro player in the NA LCS. I don't think he plays tank champs as well as carry champs, but the meta is tank top right now.

III BAKURYU III 1 votes

The Meta always changes for the Summer split and heading to WORLDS. The meta shifts towards Carry champions for Top-Mid- etc. The reason for it is because most of the time if the champion is a Carry (rumble-Renekton-Yasuo-Ryze) it can make huge upsets at worlds etc at worlds and from the regions themselves.

  1. Summer split I'm expecting Aatrox Fiora Irelia Kayle Khazix Pantheon Renekton Yasuo. Like I said before players will pull out these champions and others so when they face for example Royal-SKT-JIN Air- etc at Worlds they can have a carry if they do get a kill or assists they have a powerful carry to win games more easily.
