I thought 10 bans were supposed to increase champion diversity
It might just be me but I feel like I see the same group of champions every game with little variation.

Looking at the game summaries, in addition to the 11 listed, I've seen. Miss Fortune, Ivern, Morgana, Rek Sai, Taliyah, Ryze, Caitlyn, Ezreal, Nami, Rumble, Orianna, Kennen, Thresh, Corki, Illaui, Ekko, Taric, Syndra, Cassiopia, Katarina, Kassadin, Lulu, Olaf, Tahm Kench, Jayce, Hecarim, Zac, Elise, Mordekaiser, Kallista, Trundle, Alistar, Bard, Fizz, Azir, Swain, Singed, lissandra, Anivia, Aurelian Sol, Twitch, Graves, Sion, and Kled.
That's not counting the Camile, Rengar, and Le Blanc not listed. that get banned alot. All three have gotten through at one point or another.
Anyone who thought 10 bans would increase diveristy was crazy
The only thing that can increase diversity is forced picks. If X champion was picked in game one, it can not be picked for the remainder of the match.
Not only does this increase pick rates of all the champions, but opens the door to all kinds of tactics and strategies
ban all the shit in the world if masteries dont get shafted everything will find a way to become broken.
Needing 10bans instead of our generic 6 just goes to show how dogshit the game balance is becoming. Latest champ releases prove the point further.
Cammile is probably the most busted champ ( apart from the hotfixed ones ) that got released. Ivern is a TERRIBLE fkn champion aswell overloaded with utility without sacrificing any base dmg's either. Once Ivern gets core and hits a Q you are almost guarenteed dead unless you manage to flash a wall. Not to mention half the reworks become so obnoxious people want them reverted. biggest examples -
(jk ryze will never be balanced)

Honestly diversity is incredibly bad this season. You see the same handful of champs picked over and over and the only time it deviates is if one role/player gets target banned out. Then the casters kind of lament about how that team is probably screwed.
Maybe we need to bring in ARAM style selection into the world championships. :)
IMO it actually has. While there still is a pool of "same old shit", it's bigger than last year's pool of "same old shit". Once 7.3 ships and red side can ban something other than
diversity should be better because all 3 are getting nerfed
That's a coaching problem, imho
UOL which is 3-0 in series and 6-1 in games, has played in those first 2 weeks:
Aside from ADC position, where they have their weakest player and the one that has joined the actual roster for last (Veritas left UOL shortly before the start of the split and they had to find in emergency situation a replacement), UOL has played with a wide variety of picks in basically all the roles pulling out the pocket/peculiar whenever they felt they need it without feel theirselves forced to go with the meta picks every time
I think they have never played consecutive games with more than 2 champions in common from one game to the next one
If UOL can do it successfully, why can't the other teams do it?
