Post-worlds lets say the team gets brought back for skin picks. For the first bit it's all fairly obvious: Leblanc, Kayle, Rek'sai are selected to rep Mid, Top and Jungle respectively....but who do they pick for bot?

Garen and Yuumi. Of course it's not just those two either. ~~Aatrox Naut~~ (Edit: Mistake, Reddit had wrong icons). Yasuo Gragas. Veigar Alistar. All bot lanes that happened. We live in a truly diverse time where for the very first time since the game's inception, it's possible we will have a skinline for esports WITHOUT an ADC in it.

(Granted Riot's probably going to force an ADC anyways because they make $$$ but regardless)

Riot can't force shit. It's the players' choice for the champion. Whatever they pick they get a skin for. As long as they played it during that final (I think it's final could be the entire competition but I don't think so)

It's kind of sad that people have no clue that player that gets 1st place can only choice skin for a champion that they played even if IG wins they still can pick Xayah kog ezreal, if one team in past played that champion and won with it doesn't mean that different team cant pick it again and they dont pick champions that they played in final game it counst the all-tournament and ig had 4 ADC if you dont count Kaisa its 3 skt had varus and Draven on that pool G2 and fun + has Lucian and vayne in slots ... I really dont see the problem LOL its on the player if they will pick someone for skin or not and I believe if Korea wins they probably will pick ezreal and if CHN wins they probably will Kaisa if G2 wins perks will pick Lucian for sure he is his favorite champions and played in the tournament too so I donr fear that much its about what the player likes and knowing the players what they like to play and want it leads only to that they probably will have adc skin.

I'm not saying that there is no possibility that they will not pick adc for skin I'm saying that the chance is small according to the history of skin lines that had adc and ADC pros that pick them despite the fact that they played non-ADC (even in past)

I wouldn't call a worlds where there's only 2 viable ADC's diverse.

Don't think it'll be Garen Yuumi since none of the remaining teams actually play it because it turned out to be trash.

Yasuo maybe but if anything it'll probably be Syndra.

Just want to pop in and say;

ADC ≠ Marksmen

"ADC" Is a position within a team (originating with the META, a player-created concept), and is generally an attack damage based carry positioned in the bot lane, whereas a "marksmen" is a role assigned by Riot, generally reserved for ranged champions with a focus on basic attacks. Champions like Garen and Yasuo are valid "ADC's" (even though they're not valid "marksmen"), so long as they're fulfilling the requirements of the position.

Just wanted to make that distinction clear, since it's pretty common place for people to think the two terms are interchangeable.

having an adc is sorta meh, their entire role revolves around being pampered early game and then they scale and become stupid if allowed. I guess those bot lane strats just choke out adc too well.

It's lazy to assume Riot will "force" a marksman champ

It's far more likely to assume the eventual champion Bot laner will pick a marksman because that is what they very commonly play. Sure it's shaken up a bit this World's, though that doesn't mean someone accustomed to playing ADC absolutely LOVES taking an oddball champ like Veigar and would choose that to be "their" skin. It would be like expecting Faker to want a Tristana skin since he played her a time or two this World's.

Riot balance team about as good as the blitzcrank bot is. Actually....what if they replaced the balance team with Blitzcrank bot like they did the tribunal. It all makes sense now.

I can see world where Faker choses Orianna for his choice I can see World where Perkz picks Syndra or Yasuo I can see world where DoinB picks Kled I can see world where Rookie picks Qiyanna cause lets be honest if he gets the chance to play it vs SKT or G2 he gonna either stick it to Faker or Smack Caps around for being so cocky like rest of G2..

Just like at MSI IG making history going 9-0 then loss 10th game in Groups to SKT.. then loss to TL at MSI Semis.. an G2 picked up an easy win cause just like IG we party'd for beating reigning Champions from 2018..

If watching worlds show me anything the East as come to play, while the West Memes and jokes around..
