Most sports leagues tend to have 2 divisions and the playoff rounds get the best two from each division to face each other for the championships. So I'm wondering, should LOL break up to and eastern (Asia) and western (NA and EU) divisions going forward?
Esports isn't really like any other sport imo. And I don't know how much control Riot even has over this kind of thing.

Since E-Sports, or at least LoLs league does is made out of teams which have no exact localization in the world there is no need to pay respect to any og those cercumstances. Also it would make worlds either boring (just one game) or irrelevant due to its redundance if you'd choose to keep worlds as thei are atm a thing.
