How often does the patch change in pro play?

I started watching during last year's world's so this is still pretty new to me. How often do they change patches?

LCS is one week behind live.

They are only a week or so behind Live's patch environment as of this season.

They also aren't allowed to pick new champions right away when the new patch hits. I think it's like 2 weeks but I'm not positive about that
