Do pro players use in-game chat/pings?

I imagine pros have no reason to use in-game chat during LCS matches, since they have voice chat... unless they want to use all-chat to tell the other team they're boosted.

Also they probably don't use MIA pings when they can just say "mid roaming" or something. I guess the enemy vision or other location pings are still useful.

they timestamp flashes etc.

Watch the minimap in pro games, you'll see it light up with pings.

In Game Chat is used for timing flashes, ults, and smaller camps, but you don't see that in the stream.
