Do pro players use in-game chat/pings?

I imagine pros have no reason to use in-game chat during LCS matches, since they have voice chat... unless they want to use all-chat to tell the other team they're boosted.

Also they probably don't use MIA pings when they can just say "mid roaming" or something. I guess the enemy vision or other location pings are still useful.
