Why Does Nami Not See Any Competitive Play?

Nami is a support who brings everything that an ADC could dream of to the table: A heal, a damage increase with a slow, an interruption, and let's not forget, that magical bubble of cc. So why does she not see any competitive play? Supports like Janna and Bard are picked for their ability to escape and keep the enemy away, and Nami can do that with a simple spell that gives movement speed or a bubble. I don't get why she's not regarded as a higher pick, or even an option at all. Someone please enlighten me.

Because she's balanced.

Overloaded champions like Bard and Thresh. Also you have the current broken supports like Alistar and Braum. Throw in the safe picks like Janna and Morg and their is basically no where she fits into the competitive scene without being someone's pocket pick.

Most other champs do what she does but better.

Braum. He is a pretty hard counter and is pretty strong right now. He deletes namis ult and q

Too much mobility in the meta right now for her major CC her bubble to be an effective peeling tool. Basically her cast times are too damn high. compared to the instant cast CC of Janna.

You are just never going to hit Ekko with anything

She is my main and favourite champion but the meta isn't good right now. She is good against juggnauts and people that actually have to run at your adc.

Nami falls off harder than almost any champion in the game. Pull up her stats on Champion.gg and look at her winrate graph. He winrate literally plummets faster than the Titanic the longer the game goes. She's a lane bully, yes, but if you fail to turn that early game bullying into an early game win your chances of success drop like a rock. In pro play, where teams can often stall out leads to get back in the game, a champion like Nami is very risky.

Hey skill shot is arguably tougher to hit then other supports imo. I also feel like they look supports who are godly at something rather than supports that are ok at everything. Soraka out heals, Janna outpeels, Bard can outtank, Karma outpokes and Morgana out shields.

Just my opinion of course.

Braum, Alistar, Janna are usually good in this meta. While Nami DOES provide a lot, this meta is ALL about peel. It's keeping your ADC alive, and keeping yourself alive. Nami isn't good at the latter unless she's ahead. Bard has utility that is more than a movement speed, he gives a free disengage and engage, or he gives an AoE stun.

Compare that to a bubble that if you miss, YOU ARE PUNISHED FOR IT. You are GOING to be punished. In high play, a missed bubble or ulti means the enemy get a free teamfight on you.
