Mouse has been a really weak top laner for awhile, and Iboy is their brand new rookie ADC who's played 22 games. Not matches, GAMES. So, there's a lot that could go wrong for EDG tbh.

EDG on paper should be the better team and make it to the bracket, but they badly underperform expectations ever since their MSI win. Chinese teams are, as a whole, far less consistent in their play than other regions. Cloud9, in contrast, usually overperforms. They've ALWAYS had at least 3 wins in their group.

Combine a little Cloud9 energy and a little EDG choke, and C9 takes it.

What chinese teams do accomplish though is making it out of the group stages, something NA has a hard time accomplishing especially in this "korea-centric" meta. Combined with the fact that EDG's roster just generally looks better than C9's (clearlove at one point being considered in the running for "#1 jg in world" and the team not being as linear), the history of rookies doing poorly at worlds (g2/splyce last year being a great example), and the fact that they have a lot more tape on them thanks to the play-ins, and I realistically can't see C9 finishing any higher than third.

I find putting SSG in third place an interesting choice, personally I think they are 1/2nd place( I have 0 faith in G2 for B01's where they never done well). Also I wonder why you put WE third, while the common place for them is likely 1st. I personally think that they will make it out of groups, and that flash wolfs will be third place due to how shaky FW have looked( they could have fixed though problems you never know). I think your other page is gone so I will reply here. Honestly I think that LZ is better than immortals for one simple reason; immortals threw a 10k gold lead( game that was on track to be almost perfect), while I think LZ would have crushed TSM with that gold lead. Otherwise I wonder if SKT is gonna return to peak form( if so I think SKT wins without a doubt), and if anyone will find the weakness which surely exists within the LZ play style( where I think that LZ can no longer win).

I deleted my earlier boards since posting 4+ within 1-2 days could end up with a Riot complaint of some kind, so I just did up 1 post.
SSG plays a very paced game in which I see G2 being at their best and if the game is around that 40+min mark, I'm picking G2. It's also a thorn in NA's side, since EU tends to always does better than NA in International tournaments and while RNG/SSG are nowhere near what they were a year ago, it would be a punch in the gut if Eu did what NA couldn't and that's actually make it out of a RNG/SSG group. FW always tend to get an upset pick at Words, did it against CLG, Rox, SKT over the past 2 years and while WE are a great team, I don't think Condi can really match Karsa's style. Condi looks to only play those dmg junglers that can get 1 shot and if so, I'm going with the Karsa/Maple synergy over WE's at the moment. No way a team walks out of Groups 6-0 that's for sure, other than that I do see LZ and SKT leaving group A/B 5-1 or #1 overall, with the exception of SSG.

GAM since MSI really reminds me of a cross between AHQ and TPA from 2014, where they have Archie as a support like tank top, but when push comes to shove he's the one taking the kills, while leaving his carries kill-less at times. GAM during MSI were a tough team but since the team got a new top/adc I just don't see them being better than LZ and FNC/IMT look solid while GAM have fallen off some.
Optimus has also a tendency of dying 4-6 times a game and when it comes to Worlds, a mid that dies more than 1.3 times a game, most likely will lose games. He has no middle ground against INT teams, he dies constantly and we've seen that at MSI. Sure, GAM were tough at MSI but once again that was the better version of GAM in my opinion.

While I know they're not as good as LZ, and probably not as good as Immortals, I think they can definitely beat Fanatic.

But who knows.

I mean, Worlds is really the same ol' same ol' : LCK always wins, 9 out of 9 Korean teams have made it out of groups, NA's #1 seed looks trash, while the #2-3 seeds look better but overall, 1 team from NA tends to come out of groups it seems. EDG are always in a tie-breaker to barely make it out of groups, RNG tends to make it out each year and EU tends to play spoiler that really rubs NA fans the wrong way.
For Fnatic, they always look competitive at International tournaments, the way LZ won with Khan running around the map and SKT chasing tends to be the Soaz/Fnatic way(Remember those crazy tp plays in 2014 and 2015), so, it's kinda like LZ 2.0 Fnatic are in a way.
I see FNC really taking games to the late-game in which wouldn't surprise me if Rekkles plays mainly Kog'maw like in 2014 and really just dominate teams(GAM(2), IMT(1) in the group stage.
