Why does this happen? He'll play against his own teammates a lot of times

Because they're all in solo q. Since there's only 200 challenger players, and they're all not likely looking for a game at the same time, it's likely he'll meet them in his games. Just like how imaqtpie consistently meets scarra and I will dominate in his games
