How to work for Riot in the League E-Sports scene ?

How could I get a job working for Riot in the League of Legends scene dealing with stats and articles without a college degree under my belt?

Would I really need a college degree to get a job that requires you to sit at a desk for 8 hours and talk about how X player is getting cs and pushing towers etc ? Also how would that even come close to what I would have to learn in college that I can't learn at home?

Example would be to work as a analyst or as an caster for Riot; do I really need 4 years to learn how to ask questions and shake your head up and down like your thinking really hard?

" So Bjergsen went off that game he had 4 kills and 207 cs" -Riot caster
" Shake head often to agree and give a puzzling look on your face to seem important"- ME

Work as a Stat employee that works with predicting the lcs players stats; so game modes like Fantasy LCS, Articles, etc can be produced and made.
Do I really need 4 years on how to look at the previous years involving the players stats and predict what I think they would get in their next games for the fantasy LCS and post it ?

{ The next part is just ranting on my part }

I have asked Riot for 3 years now for a Leaderboard that involves players LCS stats from Spring 2013 to now and if they could post it on their site but the only answers I EVER get is " We understand your frustrations and are working to solve your questions" OK.... 3 years long enough ? Isn't that the point of the stat coordinators' job ? If they can't do it themselves and they get paid to do their job FIRE THEM and Hire me I'll do it.

 I have watched some LCS games where they talk about a certain player so they show a leaderboard of that certain players stats and talk about how that X player is nearing 500 kills and how X player can get from #4 to #3 in the standings.

So I know for a fact that they have the stats themselves to able to have the leaders in order and able to show it from time to time but why hide it from just the occasional showing when they think its relevant ?

You hire people that have college under their belt to be a stat coordinator but what about people that don't college experience and have in the past and still is showing promise to do the job themselves ?

It probably depends on what kind of job in the eSports scene you're looking for. I know Zirene (I think) had made a post on Reddit year or two ago about how to become an analyst (I personally have been thinking about becoming a coach/analyst for some lower ranked teams, but only as a part time thing unless I show some promise from those experiences), and obviously it takes a lot of work and time to become an analyst (and technically about the same amount of time to become a coach from what I've read up on), you need to know the game inside and out and understand why things happen or didn't happen. If you're looking just to become someone who manages stats... I mean... what makes that difficult? They could probably just get a program to record everything for them (and probably do considering they have the fantasy leagues), so.... If you're looking to just focus on stats I think that's your starting problem. If you're looking to look at stats and understand why they're able to get such good stats and analyze why those stats are important to focus on, then you're probably looking at an analyst job, in which case you'll need to know the actual game inside and out, watch replays/VODs and figure out why things happened the way they did by asking "Why?" until it becomes deeply philosophical. Be that annoying kid from when you were 5 who always wondered how the world worked. (Some of this post was pretty much a quote of that Reddit post I mentioned earlier, I'll see if I can find it if you are interested in becoming an analyst).

You likely don't need a degree so much as you need a portfolio. You need to do something related to LoL esports and build a track record. It could be a blog you start or freelance work for related interests. They're not going to just hire someone off the streets though and say "hey, broadcast some games for us." You have to prove you can do it and then market yourself to the company.
