Yeah basically, i don't know why everyone was acting surprised that they are winning when they had 3 of the origional core members. Hai was irreplaceable for c9 season 3-6. Just because hes on a diffrent team dosnt change that. And balls literally got a penta in worlds aginst fnaitc so even if hes not the best top NA he certianly isnt bad. Lemon was always somewhere around the middle tier supports. Sure their adc and jungler are newer but as often as teams change rosters 2 diffrent members is not that big of a deal, the 3 core members teamwork and synergy is still there. In fact for several years the only mid i placed over hai in terms of play making mid was bjerg, with hai being the better shotcaller. At this moment it looks like C9 is #1 followed closely by dig/tsm/fq and then right behind them Imt and TL

Sorry? Hai was replaced in S6 summer, and C9 did fine without him once they got in Smoothie to fulfill shotcalling duties (and took Rush inconsistence away)... heck, they did considerably better than spring split in summer + Worlds. And now they are looking even stronger once they have replaced Meteos with a better NA jungler

Hai is repleaceable, just because he won a pair of series against teams with two of the worst midlaners in NA, namely Liquid with Goldenglue, and NV with last minute line-up and sub midlaner since they played Ninja as jungle because of LirA visa issues, doesn't mean he is actually going to have this success going forward - and while AlexIch was decent enough as mid in the series, I don't get why they didn't do the other way around, playing him as jungle and Ninja as mid as Ninja got focused and outjungled pretty heavily, while AlexIch could have probably dealt better the situation with his bigger experience while Ninja as mid could focus on beat Hai in lane and make him uncomfortable to lower his focus and the level of his shotcalling -

If anything, FlyQuest should just use this jumpstart to get quickly enough point to avoid relegations and anything more will be a bonus

Hey man. Hope you are having a good day. While I do agree with your point on season 6 I would like to point out that saying anything more than avoiding relegation is a bonus is a bit degrading to a guy who made it to playoffs every split that he played full time. It feels like people are thinking that he is gonna get smashed in lane but then what we see is that he is not only holding his own but often winning his lane with the help of moon and lemonnation. If hai can stay in form this team has few weaknesses to exploit since moon is showing up and the bot lane is looking solid. I am not gonna say "oh Flyquest is for sure going to finals" but saying that anything more than avoiding relegation is a surprise is a bit on the disrespectfull side to hai, lemon, and balls and even to the new players since they never have been given real chances (except for Altec on GV) and now have a good leader to help them out.

Idk i saw another post where someone brought up that everyone seems to have so low expectations and i dont get it honestly. 3 of the 5 members are all vets of the lcs for 3+ years. Not just that but they where on the top 3 teams for 3+ years. Just because they took a break for like half a year isnt going to suddenly make them newbies again. Just like alot of people are expecting dig to fall i am fully expecting them to beat CLG ... ssumday was literally ranked number 1 top laner in the world last season. Its like the faker of toplane almost and if anyone can tangle with monsters like impact its him. The teams i dont see going anywhere are TL NV Fox and MABYE Clg. im still reserved on that one. Clg is known for sucking at the beginning of the season then pulling something out their arse near the end but eventually that wont be good enough and it gets more competitive every year

Not to say i think FQ are suddenly unstoppable or anything i predicted them in 4th. my rankings as of this moment are A tier: c9 B tier: Dig tsm and barely FQ C teir : Imt phoenix and D teir : Clg TL Nv Fox

Hai is really the last of FQ problems, at very worst he would still provide very solid shotcalling (ala RYU in S6 H2K), I am more worried about the other guys So far Hai has carried them because he could not only provide the shotcall but also win lane because he has faced some of the worst opposition around in his role, my concern is that he will not be able to do it in the other games as consistently as he has done vs NV and TL because he will have more trouble in doing well in lane. If/when Hai will not be able to carry FQ, who will be? Because I don't see the other solo lanes or Moon being capable to consistently carry.

In my opinion, anything beyond avoid relegation will be a success for FQ

You do realize this is the same player that brought c9 from the edge of being relegated, to two consecutive reverse sweeps in the gauntlet, to worlds, in a role he never played before professionally learning it on the go right. Without him they never even would have made it to worlds in season 5. Season 3-4 cloud 9 as a whole where unstoppable. He was on a decline in season 6 but he still showed up when it mattered, The only ones that where really beating him out in NA where the top tier players like bjerg. Just like fnatic used to be top dogs in EU before they traded away their best players and now became mid table stuff, Hai and sneaky and meteos where the backbone of c9. The roster changed enough to where thats no longer really true one person at a time. First with meteos leaving then jensen in the midlane, then he moved to support after jungle and they got rush, then they got a new support and he could finally leave. Theres only one of the old members left now. So yeah Hai is no longer irreplaceable but its also not the same team they where before. But now its FQ where he is almost irreplaceable. You swap him with any other midlaner and then the synergy with balls and lemon is gone and youre left with a team of avrage level players. Its not because hes some super star midlaner, its because theyve played together for years and have a higher level of trust and synergy than teams that constantly swap out players every season and have to adjust to it. Coming into the lcs with 3/5 people youve already played with for years gives you a bit of an edge over teams that throw together rosters of who ever they can get at the last moment, and it shows because FQ and c9 both had the best grasp on pick and ban and how to go foreward while other teams are still working on teamwork, like tsm, they can focus more on patches and drafts ect sense they have already had that for years

Because Balls and Lemon ARE below average players (respect for their career and past success, but they are just like Alex Ich, great players that are past their prime) He is needed, because you are keeping those guys + a jungler who is good mechanically but has no clue about macro + a guy that is solid but not a carry at ADC
