This loss could be career ending for Doublelift. Once again, his team does not break out of the group stage. But, NA is a joke region. The fact that I let anyone convince me otherwise for even a second is embarrassing. Once a joke, always a joke. TSM fell squarely on their faces in that last game, just like they started their worlds tour with a face plant. Face plant in, face plant out, I'm sure a few face planted careers too.

Doubtful it'll be career ending, but him not making it out of groups again does put him into "Piglet/Froggen territory" (in which he has a ton of solo talent, but struggles massively outside of laning phase to the point in which it is a massive detriment to the team). I'm actually going to be interested to see what happens with TSM and whether they keep their 5 from this split. There are a TON of fun options right now (piglet included should TL decide Jynthe or a random challenger-tier player is better), which combined with the fact that no western team who has made it to worlds over the past 2 seasons has kept their "original 5" makes me think we could be in for another awkward spring.

Yeah, despite all of that I still think he's going to stay in the LCS for a little bit (whether it be with TSM, or possibly TL because hey they'll probably take anyone at this point). I'll use dardoch as an example: ever since he entered the league he was both a really good player and also somewhat hated by a few of his teammates. Despite the latter, TL brought him in mid-suspension due to how poorly their sub was performing in his place. Now, despite all the negativity surrounding him, another team took him because they know how hard it is to find elite LCS-level talent nowadays. While I highly doubt DL will get a "fourth" chance, I do expect him to remain in the LCS for a little bit longer. Despite being a sellout with a massive ego who also seems to have zero map awareness post-25mins causing team-wide gaffes (the third point you also sorta forgot to mention, even though it's been evident for pretty much all of worlds), some team will look at him and say to themselves "we have a chance at getting one of the three best NA ADC's of all time". If he blows this opportunity, then I doubt he'll get another one because of all the reasons I mentioned, but do expect him to be playing next year.

Stixxay played far better than Dlift this tournament. Its about time people recognize his skills. If not for Huhi chain feeding with aphro every other game, maybe we could have saw him try to 1v9 some more games.

Hell, lets just stick Stixxay on TSM, and they have their choke artists shore'd up.

I have to agree with this. Stixxay played much better. In fact, I think CLG is a better team outside of Huhi. Today's game vs Splyce proved that. Bot lanes were slightly in TSM's favor but it was all Bjerg doing the work.

Then again, Stixxay si the only thing that can actually deliver CLG wins (apart from a random Sol game of Huhi). He nearly always plays Cait, which is a very save option. I dont think he does much individualy, but hes a good adc when protected.

I mean when you play cait (the safest ADC ever) every game and never take any risks whatsoever, you look better than adcs that take risks and when those risks can blow up in their face.

Doublelift just plays every game like it's solo queue. He's always doing his own thing and making stupid Rambo moves that get him caught and killed. I'm more hopeful with C9 as their have a legit titan on their team with Impact (he doesn't talk trash, he just gets the job done) and Sneaky, while not as flashy, has good fundamentals making him less prone to dumb decisions. Smoothie reflects the same good fundamentals which is why they work well together. The real question is which Jensen and Meteos are we going to see? If they're both focused and on their game we have still have hope.

I am glad TSM is out simply because I hate Doublelift. He always trash talk so much but plays so poorly. Serves him right.

Yea I don't like double lift either. I've watched some of his streams, watched some of his talk and plays at LCS and worlds... and I'm really not impressed. My friend that does none of the above would demolish him in lane, guaranteed.
