Complaints about the meta not being interesting is the reason why i dont like the rise of esports. People just want something exciting to watch but when it comes down to the intricacies of the game they really dont care. You want to see face rolling, not skill.
These kinds of games arn't like fighting games, where its always Toe to Toe fighting. There is alot more to it. Like RTS/TCGs, its not super exciting all the time but watching how much thought people have to put into build order / deck composition, etc. That is what high level play is all about.
Varus vs. Jayce is the absolute best lane match to watch - said like no one ever :D

It's not just laning, it's everything. They just run to objectives, whether it's dragon, towers, or baron, and it's all about poking down. Sivir is an auto pick/ban because she capitalizes on someone being poked down. Oh look, Jayce just poked X champion to 20% hp, lets pop sivir ult
It's just too dumb.
It is very boring. I really don't mind pokey champions if there's at least something else to it - Nidalee sits back and throws spears but if she lands a spear she doesn't just sit back and throw another one to get the kill, she jumps into cougar form and actually gets into a reasonable range to get the kill.
Jayce can get triples without ever using any abilities bar his Acceleration Gate + Shock Blast combo. It wasn't too long ago that happened in the LCS. Varus just spams his Q off cooldown, Kog'Maw spams his ult. I'm fine with pokey champions if they at least use the rest of their kit but I can't stand champions like Varus and Jayce where one ability is all they need to be strong. You could take away Jayce's melee form entirely and the difference would be negligible. He never has to use it unless he's on his own clearing waves.

You talk about engaging on them? How with so it right? You mean the champs that's nearly a pick or ban at the moment?
Face it, the past 2 week, Jayce and Varus have been picked much more than any other mid laner. You still don't seem to grasp that I'm not looking for poke to be gone completel, just tuned down. It's cleary too good at the moment

Poke champs rise in the meta when tank champs do as they can put meaningful damage output while not being in range of engages from super tanks.
While i agree its not the most exciting meta.
The current meta requires alot more skill and team cohesion then the assassin spam qwer insta pop meta of last season.
Regardless of the meta there will always be people who hate it and wish it was another way.
People started complaining about how op assassins were and we landed here after a few patches and items being added to the game.
Eventually the same thing will happen again and the meta will shift and you will be back here posting the same type of thread.

Sivir is all-in champ, not really poke, you have to play immobile team to get hit by her Q.
