Two Picks I am Really Getting Tired of Seeing

  1. Gangplank - Why Gangplank has such a high ban rate is beyond me. Sure he does a ton of damage with his barrels, but those require a very telegraphed set up and are countered by basically any ranged champ. His early game is terrible so it's really easy to bully him out of lane, and because he requires at least three items before any possible game changing power spike he just does nothing for a long time. I have yet to see a Gangplank do anything this split.

  2. Quinn into Malphite - Sure Quinn wil make Malphite's life hell during laning phase, but after just a couple items Quinn can no longer do anything to Malphite who late game can stop and most likely kill Quinn when she splits because she is full damage he is full tank making it so Quinn does nothing to Malphite, but Malphite does a lot to Quinn. And when Quinn isn't split pushing and is grouped with the team for fights she may offer a lot of damage, but Malphite offers a ton of utility, and he is a tank. He can soak up a lot of damage, where as, Quinn can take very little damage.

gangplank has global presence, when combined with good coordination is ridiculously good. his barrels are great for zoning and you can nearly 1 shot squishies if you manage to land a barrel on them. even if gangplank's early game is not that great he can still zone people with the barrels and he mainly focuses on farming anyway.

Gangplank just has a large number of assets. Global ult, Grasp/Sheen + Q, 1.2k AoE shredding, etc. It makes him a little too strong, even if he's not played very well.

But yeah, I hate Quinn into Malphite. Reminds me of Darius into Gnar/blind Darius at Worlds, people kept doing it and kept losing in the pick/ban phase.
