This year seems to be Galio's turn.

gg WE, at least C9 forced you to the point you had to cheese the most broken Champ currently in the meta. :(

Galio isn't a cheese pick. It's been a staple pick of all of China pretty much all season.

It wasnt Darius in 2015 but Mordekaiser. Darius only found success in 1st week then players adapted and Darius pick failed afterwards. Morde was pick/ban 100%.

I guess Darius was the first I remembered because of the Balls Pentakill. And come to think of it, wasn't Gangplank in the same boat as Morde? And the only game they were on opposite sides of had to get remade with new picks so they never broke the undefeated tie between them.

Yes. You are right. GP and Morde were ban/pick 100%. Darius did get couple of pentas but he wasnt really focus.

I feel like Kalista would have to be picked in a game and show the kind of absurdly game-changing dominance that Galio has to earn her a THAT Champion(tm) trophy.

The whole point is she gets banned 100% of the time because the pros know from scrims that she's completely broken in that patch.

Maybe but again, until it's proven in the tournament I hesitate to say she's actually at that point.

I mean, look at Tristana. She was definitely trending in that direction until actual play allowed for some counter-measures to be picked.

They've played more scrims on that patch than the matches we've seen.

Anyway I know why they ban Kalista. She has always been really strong with lifesteal, high attack speed, and Runaan's. She's so good with that combination that she used Runaan's before it was changed to have crit. When has all of those things she reaches critical mass and becomes almost impossible to kill.

Worlds patch has the life on hit version of Ardent Censer so it makes her reach critical mass on 1 item, Runaan's, in that particular patch. I have no doubt that she's insanely broken on that patch.
