They do and they did. I forget who it was but a couple of weeks ago, an EU team with a blitz hung around the fountain to snatch more kills rather than get the nexus. BTW the Europeans got on them for it.

The whole BM thing is harder oppose to just say " Stop it" because what is BM to begin with? Off topic somewhat but I would rather have someone like a D-lift telling interviewers 100% real talk and "bm/s$it talk to some extent" over the same ol' " X team is really good even tho we destroyed them, but they're good tho... "LIES LIES LIES" it's so old.
Another thing is some teams just don't like each other, G2 Zven or Perkz I think said before Worlds " Oh, we have 2 wildcard teams in our group(CLG) LOL " when they were down on their luck at the time" 0-2 Xerxe saying " We can't learn much from NA" or something like that, 3-6.
Overall it's funny how life works, at first NA trash talked and had 0 results, especially against EU; fast forward it's now EU trash talking and having 0 results against NA.

You also gotta remember that in game chat is not shown to spectators, so they could have been typing in their GGs back and forth or any other closing messages to each other as we know. Yes there were a few taunt emotes going on, but a few members stood motionless there for several seconds as well.
Besides, the amount of trash that G2 was talking before hand, like Perkz saying that NA wouldn't win a single game, or Mithy saying that G2 would destroy NA if Fnatic doesn't (kinda ironic that it is UOL that carries the hopes of EU on its shoulders), TSM had every reason to serve poetic justice not only as revenge from MSI but for NA as a whole in this tournament.

Do you have some insights as to the ethical MO of the organization, or are you just so upset and salty that you do what just about every other upset/salty person on the internet does, which is make personal attacks that have little to do with the grand scheme of things, which in this case is the tournament?

I've been following the LCS since season 2 (and got the original Championship Riven to prove it :) ) and I'm basing my statement on their public behavior as an organization, the behavior of the players over the years, and the fact Reginald has been caught in some shady business practices more than once (though amazingly, he's never fined and punished for it like other organizations have) just adds a cherry on top of things.
So it's less saltiness and more built up frustration from having seen them pull stuff like this year in and year out and it either gets ignored or people make excuses for it.

Plus the whole point of the event is to trash talk, it's called Rift Rivals for a reason, Riot wants to play up the rivalry to hype up the big events like Worlds. BMing is in the spirit of the event really.
Dancing at the end of the game isn't even that bad, grow up.

On that first point, there is actually a penalty for excessive celebration and players in other sports DO get fined and/or suspended if they take their on-field trash talking/actions too far.
There's a BIG difference between doing dumb trash talking before a game and then actually being disrespectful in the game itself.
Hell, teams that are not TSM HAVE actually gotten fined for that kind of behavior during games before (most recently Roccat) so I'm just not sure why they get a free pass?
Ailiekpai2 votesThis event was specifically designed to foster (not-so)friendly regional rivalries. It basically caters to the spastics who spam NA>EU or vise versa till their fingers fall off. It's so obvious the players are having some fun with it and why shouldn't they? They're being forced to play in this meaningless tournament in the middle of the summer split. I like the idea, but they really need to reconsider the rewards and logistics in the future, or no team will ever take it seriously (besides TSM, who try-hard EVERYTHING ;) and you'll keep getting clown fiestas like this one has been.
anonymous1192 votesIt isn't so much about disrespecting the enemy team as it is having fun with each other. The game in question they weren't waiting for minions to kill the nexus. They were watching biofrost and trick 1vs1 each other. You can see the pings on the map and dl heading down to the fight. They ended up killing the nexus right before he died.
They do stuff like this rather frequently if you listen to their shit tsm says content. The time they tried to convince hauntzer they were fountain diving then just watched him die, the time bjerg tried taliyah wall hauntzer into the fountain, there was a time when some one jumped into the fountain as the nexus was one hit away and then stopped damaging it to watch him die... etc

Because he is right At the end if they day, riot is trying to promote a professional setting for LCS. It's why riot has punished professional players for behind toxic during games. They even fined Hai for throwing a middle finger when it was not shown on any stream
No reason why TSM should be spamming emotes and BMing teams. You don't ever see Koreas doing that to NA/EU despite having a monopoly in terms of dominance. I get That other reason get happy when they win so they believe they are welcomed to do it.
Stixxays interview should be a hallmark for how NA and EU need to behave. Top team in NA, dude legit says TSM is perfect to represent NA. That's called professional. If you can't act like one, probably shouldn't call yourself professional on a stream

I would treat it the same in solo queue as I will here. The same disdain, and the same disappointment in my fellow players.

I doubt a player exists where when given the opportunity to do this, they would turn it down. Literally every one of my friends would do this if they were able to, and I think that because in the LCS where more or less every single player knows the others, they all have some level of friendship to an extent and it is not as "formal" to them. It is just taunting their friends.
Plus in TSM's case, it was after a 50 minute game where if they would have lost, they would not have made the finals. So I can see it as a dance of celebration also.
