But Riot decided that Zed was more popular so they would make a skin for him instead.

Like... the man just won the pinnacle of League tournaments, and this is supposed to be part of his reward for doing so, but Riot just says "Hey congrats on your tourney win, but fuck you we make more money off a Zed skin. If you wanted an Ahri skin maybe you should have played her in the Fire and Ice tournament instead of Zed." Good lord if that doesn't scream "evil corporation" I don't know what does.

If I remember correctly he didnt get an Ahri skin either because

A. He didnt play Ahri that Worlds

B. Ahri was getting another skin around that time, and they followed a different philosophy back then

Did Faker play Ahri at all at the world championship that season? I thought that they got the skin for the champion they played the most during worlds.

If I won worlds, I would hope to be playing one of if not my favorite champion so I could make sure to get them a skin. Faker is known for his Zed more than Ahri I'd say, but also LeBlanc and Syndra some.

Where did you learn this? Also, that definitely doesn't sound evil to me. Inconsiderate? Definitely... evil? No.

EDIT: Then, the Faker zed outplay is so extremely iconic. I can see the Faker skin being Zed for the first one especially if the mindset at the time was just make a skin for which they are famous vs what they wanted. I'm not sure the original mentality.

Faker's favorite champion is Ahri.

He was known for his LeBlanc and Syndra plays as an amateur though.

Championship? I'm pretty sure Faker was referring to an SKT skin. Second, Ahri was never played at all, so giving her an SKT skin was pointless & meaningless.
