C9 will probably lose, because they are playing against a team that can severely punish Hai's insecure early game. Rush got the MVP award for a reason.

I dont think Hai sucks that bad when he plays real early game champions, like Nid and Elise. Its when he picks these Solo Q carry junglers, like shyv and kha, and weak picks like Amumu, that makes it look rough.
If he just sticks to reksai/elise/nid/gragas, I think he will be ok.
The Gragas that he hasn't played? The Nidalee and Rek'sai who he has lost with in every usage? Hai has been abusing teams who cannot win through the early game by playing scaling carry junglers. He cannot do that against Rush. So Cloud9's one way they have been winning recently is completely destroyed.
Also, Amumu is not a weak pick. He is a pick that is very easy to counter with a coordinated team.

He hasnt played Gragas, but I'm pretty sure he used to play Gragas in mid. He looked good on Nid and Reksai EARLY game, where you think hes going to fail. Those games he lost, fell apart late game. He looked really good on both champs in the early game. In team fights and mid/late game, he looked poor and they lost fights.
We are arguing here like Rush is just going to roll in his jungle and solo kill him 500 times, and we both know thats not gonna happen, just like when people pretend Faker is going to solo kill some other pro-level mid 500 times in lane, when it never happens.
Bottom line is, the early game, where you guys think Hai is going to struggle, has been pretty decent on champs like Nid and Reksai. Those games fell apart later in poor team fights. Pretty sure they had early game leads in most of those games. Then it all fell apart later on. If you remember, they were beating Liquid with Reksai, and whoever he was facing with Nid, they were crushing too. Then they took poor fights and played poorly and threw their leads.
And yes, Amumu is a weak pick. He has a trash early game, and hes just not a good pro pick. There is a reason no other pro junglers are jumping on the Amumu pick. Hai is basically playing solo Q jungler in these games. Hes picking solo Q picks. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I agree that Hai is getting away with scaling carry junglers. But, I think Hai's early game is actually ok on early game junglers when he picks them. His Elise was good, his nid was good, and his reksai was good, in the early game. He got an early lead in all those games. They just fell apart later. Bad engages and fights. You forget they had like a 5k gold lead on Liquid, and then Hai re-engaged mid lane and picked a bad fight and threw. Same with the nid game. They were pressuring mid just like he did yest on elise, but the game fell apart later.
You are simply looking at the W/L of the game, when yes they lost those games. But they played those early games well actually. They actually had leads in those games.
My point still stands that Hai hasn't performed well on meta junglers.
The TiP vs GV tiebreaker match is what I think will happen to C9. That's what I'm judging what will happen off of.
So Hai either plays well early and bad late on meta junglers, or bad early and good late on non-meta junglers.
Amumu isn't a good pro pick. Everywhere else, he's a good pick. His weaknesses are just very exploitable when you actually know what you're doing.

I think Hai has performed ok on meta junglers. He got his team early leads. You know, there is more problems with C9 then just Hai. Those early game leads they threw wasnt all on the back of Hai's poor late game playing. Super farmed Incarnation getting caught out, Balls not playing well still, you name it. I think again, Hai is catching too much flak for stuff out of his control. When you play well enough to give your team early game leads, to me, thats decent enough to not get punished where everyone thinks hes going to get punished. Rush makes a fair bit of mistakes later on too. His biggest strength is his ability to get early game leads, which is where this argument is. He can go dunce mode as easily as anyone mid/late.
If anything, TIP's midlaner is just as much a liability as Hai is, if not more. Hai has looked better than Gate has. I just dont think its going to be as big an issue as people thinks it is. I feel its more about C9's ability to teamfight then anything, which seems to be where they lose most of their recent games.
Hai is a suspect player. He can be ok and terrible at the same time. Those amumu games were horrendous. But, if he sticks to stuff he can play, I dont see it being any worse then Gate midlane. Gate looks atrocious, too. He can literally play 1 champion, Azir, and not even that great. As good as Incarnation looks recently, he may dump all over him.
#REVERSESWEEP
Lmao I was rightttt
I think C9 because I am a C9 fan. However, if C9 loses, it will most likely be as TurquoiseYoshi says, off the back of rush punishing hai, however, I think incarnation will be able to outperform gate, and sneaky should be able to deal with apollo. Rush can't carry if his mid and bot are losing hard enough. But the games should be close, hope the teams play well.
Gragas mid from 3 seasons ago? Common! That's was totally a different play style and champion.
Hai cannot play early game champs like lee Gragas or reksai
His Elise was ok but I'm sure it will be banned. They will have to waste plenty of bans on Nid and Gragas.

His reksai looked fine. He made early plays, got early leads. I'm pretty sure hes been practicing Gragas. I have no clue why they even played that trash they played yest.
Look, hes not a world-beater at jungler. We all know that. Hai is Hai. Hes there for shotcalling. I just dont see him being punished as hard as people say hes going to be punished. No one ever is. Its going to come down to teamfights and misplayed skirmishes as it always does.
༼ つ ◕◕ ༽つ C9 take my energy༼ つ ◕◕ ༽つ
Of course, they give Gate the only champion he can play. I really dont understand why they dont just ban Azir. He's not even a good Azir. Its just literally the only thing he can play. If they ban Lulu and Azir, what can this guy even do?
Lmao c9 getting wrecked
lmao c9 with that reverse sweep again im loving this
C9 is playing stupid. The champions they picked are terrible. Ok, the first game against Soraka, maybe understandable. Shes an out of Meta pick, still not excuseable, since they actually HAD ways to gank her with Elise/Ashe. Still they didnt understood that killing Soraka is easy, fast and efficient, while trying to kill someone healed by Soraka is just stupid.
The the second game comes, TIP picks Soraka again, and what does C9 pick? A full fighter frontline team... Thats basicly Sorakas wet dream, noone to jump her, noone to pick her...
Just picking one Assassin would have won them the game against Soraka, pick a Kha'Zix, pick a Zed, pick anything that can go deep, instakill her squishy ass and get out! But well, guess that too much strategic thinking for C9...

I agree on the assassin pick to hammer Soraka. Zed, Kha'Zix, Rengar, Vi, Poppy(that's right, I put her out there as well), Hecarim, even an AP Malphite. Lock down the permaheals and blow her up.
Sneaky seriously has to be on tilt. Not sure what his skills on a carry like Jinx or Tristana(for tower killing, but Tristana also has an escape) are like. And Balls needs to reach down and find his name.
LOL REVERSE SWEEP?
