LCS NA coming back from RR
Counter Logic Gaming vs FlyQuest
Even tho Balls is performing pretty well he and Darshan have been more so effective around kills than farming Darshan(7.6 cs per min) Balls(7.9) now that's 9th place for Balls and 11th place for Darshan but on paper both players are more team focused with TP plays etc so it's nothing new with them having low CS per min but considering both are two vocal points having a strong top to help around the map needs to be key.
FQ's main problems are 1. Focus - At times they do good plays but the followup to those certain plays just isn't there or the plays that they do; do makes 0 sense. Another is FQ's warding, this really goes into Hai's negative because it seems whatever team he's on tends to not ward/2016 Spring C9/Hai Support was a key reason on why C9 failed during the Playoffs and even with a strong roster on the helm failed and ended up 3rd place/1st round eliminated in playoffs against a " Garbage TSM team"-Jensen. If FQ can actually ward and not be the 10th worst team at doing so they can win games even if against CLG but telling a 10th place team to ward against the 2nd best vision warding team and 4th best wards cleared team(CLG) just isn't going to happen. The map will be dark which in turn will give Hai 3.6 deaths #1, Moon 3.3 deaths #3, Balls 3.2 deaths #4 and Lemon 3.2 deaths #5 most even more death averages.
Winner Counter Logic Gaming 2-0
Cloud 9 vs Immortals
The teamfights in this series should be good to say the least, sometimes C9 groups at times that makes it feel more of an aram than anything. They all group as 5 for dragons, blues, cs, kills etc and it's not needed at times. C9 has a history now for the last couple of splits having long games as a dominate team compared to other teams like Immortals(2016/now) and Team Solomid who were/are around 9th-10th shortest games around that 32 min mark but for C9 it's
2016 Spring 33.16 mins 8th 2016 Summer 36.41 mins 3rd 2017 Spring 38.16 3rd 2017 Summer 36.17 mins 5th
At RR they even gave up like 5 dragons to Fnatic for free at times in which for Immortals' best player Flame if C9 groups to beat him up 1v5 style it will give Immortals time to get free dragons and pressure the other 75% of the map if C9 does indeed choose to beat up Flame, in which they most likely will considering Flame is the #1 top so far this split.
However, Immortals may be a great team but I think the loses to TSM and P1 really made me decide that IMT just aren't ready yet to pick them to be a top tier team going forward.
Winner Cloud 9 2-0
Team Liquid vs FlyQuest
On one side we have a team that doesn't do anything against a team that does too much and the result for both are fails after fails.
Both teams are actually pretty good pre 15 mins but after the first 15 mins TL seems to not know what to do and for FQ they tend to just jump the gun more times than not. Wildturtle and Piglet are putting up decent stats even if they're teams aren't doing much mainly Piglet, it seems without Piglet TL just can't find a kill (9.4 kills per game 10th) while Piglet is #5 among ADCs in Kills, while for Turtle he's #1 among ADCs for solo Kills. My theory is having a strong 2 lane pressure and just have Turtle/Hai and Piglet/Lourlo just split push the whole game because whenever FQ groups is when they lose and same can be said for Team Liquid because it stops any momentum they tend to get from a decent early game. Will they - most likely not, but it's a theory that could help both teams.
Winner FlyQuest 2-1
Echo Fox vs Team Envyus
Well this could be a hr long games when you think about it ( Froggen's method and Lira's " Don't fight, farm for 50 mins". If you actually put the teams' player's names side by side you couldn't tell them apart with how they play
Looper - Seraph - Koreans(beside Seraph this split ) both are huge disappointments - We all remember CLG's Seraph's impact when posters with him in the middle and s$it and 1 split GONE, same can be said about Looper since coming to NA most likely GONE after this split.
Akaadian - Lira - Akaadian is aggressive by nature but slows down because of Froggen's nature, while Lira is also aggressive but also slows down play because of NV's #1 game time each split.
Keith/Gate - Apollo/Hakuho - Both ADC players are lucky to get 2 kills per game even tho both Keith and Apollo have a history of playing in so many 40+ min games. Keith is also I think the only ADC in LCS history to have more deaths than kills so he has that going for him.
NV are 6th place/seed and while both teams are hungry to make the playoffs, I look at reputation being the deciding factor and that's a GO button while Froggen does an insane amount of dmg he's not really doing much outside of lane and that's the problem.
Winner Team Envyus 2-1
Counter Logic Gaming vs Dignitas
Oh, what happened to DIG started off 3-0 and now are 5-5 WHY oh they replaced Lod for Altec ? Why 12 wins 9 loses - LOD
3 wins - 5 loses -Altec. DIG was like 5-2 before they subbed out Lod for Altec and now 5-5 because of it, same can be said about Echo Fox who were 2-0 but decided to sub in Grig for Akaadian because they wanted to give him EXP - F THAT it's Summer Split give these people EXP in scrims or when you have auto-locked in a playoff spot not halfway into the split and especially not when the team doesn't need it!
Said it before but it seems DIG are back to the brands old self with a decent start to yet another split only to fail in the second half yet again !
Winner Counter Logic Gaming 2-0
Team Solomid vs Team Liquid $$$$$$$ ? Depending on how many games Piglet/TL plays this week Piglet could reach his 500th kill/ currently he has 460 this week. $$$$$$$ ?
Immortals vs Echo Fox
I recently just watched C9 vs Alliance 2014 Worlds and this match reminds me of what could happen, a 20 min stalemate followed up by 1 team dominating the other and we could see it here. While there are other games with more flare to them this could actually be a fine whine/game to watch.
Winner Echo Fox 2-1
Team Solomid vs Phoenix One We all are impressed with Mike( MIKE - Trick2g lol) as well as Xpecial since joining P1 with the resurgence of Ryu and Arrow, but P1 they get decent leads mainly from RR and just lose those leads easily after 20 mins. They get so many kills in the early game that when P1 wins it's because of the snowballing factor more than anything from champions and just how the game is played and not so much because P1 are just super good now. Winner Team Solomid 2-0
Cloud 9 vs Team Envyus
Sneaky has been talked as the best ADC at times and at times can also be pretty bad at times, this split while it doesn't feel it considering how consistent he is through his career 4.24 Kills - 1.85 deaths - 5.96 assists and 301.8 Cs per game excluding this split
3.36 kills - 1.88 deaths - 6.24 assists and 331.6 cs per game.
Now considering League is less about kills but more so around team - we won't see players' stats be around that 4-5 kills per game as we once did because everyone plays safer these days, 1 mistake = gg. At the same time tho, it feels like Sneaky plays too safe to the point where it's resulting in C9's top get focused or having the pressure to carry each and every game, Jensen can carry but that's after he gets around 400 cs and gets around 5 kills. The carries on C9 need to step up is my 2 cent, it's not much of a solution but that's why it's on 2cents.
Grouping up as 5 to take easy objectives, leaving lane and in verse getting behind for those objectives tend to do C9 in.
Winner Team Envyus 2-1
Dignitas vs Phoenix One Both teams have talent, but any idiot can see which way the wind is blowing. This is really the time that both teams need to start picking up wins, mainly for P1 as they will have to beat out the....... mid tier teams like DIG to advance into the playoffs. Winner Phoenix One 2-1
