After what happened in worlds, I think they said, let's start from scratch

Because, after the first time ever winning a major regional title, the #1 thing to do is to start from scratch.

Ha! Let's not push it, they got destroyed internationally. While they won their regions, I'm sure in another rematch vs c9 or TSM they would lose. Hell, they performed bad, they lost to a wild card team, they did the worst of all Na teams despite being in th easiest group

I mean, they did better than they ever have. Something must have worked in the LCS, and they could have tried to go back to that next spring. I don't think a full reformation of the team should have been done. For TSM, I can understand, as, #1: They lost Dyrus, and #2: They're steadily doing worse than their previous performances. CLG just got to Worlds for the first time.

And, to be fair, the Flash Wolves also lost to the WC team, and they beat the team that ended up going to the finals.

What worked is like what monte said

By the summer split a lot of teams had huge changes. C9, TIP, And even TSM for a point. Don't you find it strange that tl and CLG all get top position. Let's not forget spring split the same roster, CLG got to 6th spot

You know, except one of the carry roles getting replaced, which Doublelift even said was a good change and one he enjoyed....

But they made it to worlds, and are only one of three teams to do so. Intelligent management would understand that if anything they should try to maintain their current roster. Maybe replace one player they think they could upgrade. Blowing up teams rarely works.

OR One maybe like ssw, that's easier said than done. Quite honestly, CLG had plenty of time to do small roster swaps like mid, top, and jungle. It never really worked; summer split they got lucky as other teams had their own swaps, teammates banned, and other crap going on. I personally think it was good they got rid of DL. It's one role that they haven't tried changing, if people like pobeltor don't like the atmosphere, let them leave.

Well I honestly don't know how the synergy with the team was. Maybe the guys hated each other I dunno. But I'm just saying making it to Worlds is a big success, and common logic is to build on success, not tear it down and reinvent it.
