BTW, any suggestions for changes? I've got no idea what to do with group D.

Damn, the Korea hate is real. I wouldn't be shocked if SSG got upset and didn't make quarters, but you have no Koreans advancing? I agree with the Group D picks though.

I honestly think G2/SSG and RNG will be in a tight race, I also see a tie-breaker from two of those teams, but either way I don't see SSG moving on.
LZ is really a toss-up for me because we've seen this before where the "hot LCK team" gets to worlds compared to the more established LCK team and kinda falter a bit. We've seen it in SSB #1 - SSW #2 in 2014, where SSB lost to FNC and almost lost to LMQ in that 50 min game. We've seen it from Rox Tigers losing their seed to Flash Wolves in 2015, and getting flushed out by Albus Nox a year later, having to play a tie-breaker for 1st place in group A. Not saying LZ won't be very strong but it just wouldn't surprise me if LZ did finish #2 in groups against Immortals or even FNC could take #2 and LZ might be #1, who knows . Not hating on LCK lol

The thing is LZ is at least anchored by a seasoned pair of pros in Pray and Gorilla. While Khan, Cuzz, and BDD are new faces to Worlds and might stumble the knockout, I think their bot lane can at least power them out of groups. And while SKT had one of their most shaky splits to date while getting to worlds, they're back at Worlds and that might mean another skin line with gold wings. No matter what they looked like before now, it's still a scary star studded roster.

As for you mentioning SSB and SSW of Season 4....I still can't look at how Blue was knocked out by White and not suspect Blue threw that match.

SSW played an immaculate tournament. I found it surprising that TSM could take a game off of them. The only reason, which was brought up immediately by casters and analysts, is that SSW disrespected TSM in champ select and picked late scaling in all roles, as far as I can tell, for the lulz. Blue didn't look as sharp at any point.

White did play a fantastic tournament that year. Blue, not as much, but they were still a highly dominant force. Against White though....some garbage picks and bans, and some even worse plays I would expect on a LolFails reel, not a top Korean contender that year. Given how Riot then changed rules shortly thereafter, I bet I'm not the only one who smelled a fix.

Your group D looks fine. I mean WE and TSM seem like clear 1 and 2(could be wrong, but that would an upset). Then MF to FW is unpredictable to me. Are you simply hoping C9 will be the second seed or are you think that EDG is actually worse than C9. It is possible the last two years they were expected to be 1st seed but got 2nd, so expect d to be 2rd but 3rd is plausible. Although personally I expect C9 to be 3rd, I will say that upsets are likely to happen in groups.

Everything I've read about EDG is that they have a bad habit of under preforming at worlds. C9 on the other hand has always been competitive in the group stages. So I'm thinking this is 50-50.

Right now I'm riding Sneaky's hope that they can take one away from EDG.

EDG has been a powerhouse in groups the last two years, and was iffy the one before that. Amusingly that year they also forced their quarterfinals match vs the eventual 2nd place RNG to a full 5 games. Meanwhile C9 has been OK in groups but never a threat in Quarters.

I give EDG a slight edge over C9, but almost expect a tiebreaker game will be needed to determine which of those two advance.
