So is IMT eliminated or can they come back and be at worlds?

This is only the spring split. After the mid season invitational, there will be a summer split that IMT will be a part of. There are three ways for them to get to worlds: 1: Win The summer split final 2: Get the most combined points between the two splits ( you get points based on how high you finished) 3: Run the gauntlet ( a tournament where the best teams that did not achieve either of before mentioned conditions fight it out to see who the wild card team is).

Winning MSI also gets you a spot at Worlds, correct (and that's not what you mean by #3)?

No it doesn't. If you win MSI and then suck all summer split and take last place you wont go to worlds

They can still go there are 3 spots for NALCS teams.

They can still make it, but unless they change how they play in playoffs, they probably won't make it through the summer split playoffs or the gauntlet.

damn yo, my dreams shattered, I was hoping them to become world champs and then IMT Quinn skin from Huni, would be sick.

With IMT playing like they did against TSM, you'll die of old age before an IMT Quinn skin is done. And in the event that IMT somehow do win Worlds(again, you'll most likely die of old age before that happens), there's no guarantee that Huni would even pick Quinn to get the skin.

IMT will have three possible chances to qualify for Worlds when the summer split playoffs happen. Win the summer split, win by points, or go through the gauntlet. Just like.....Team Liquid. We all saw how that worked out, when TSM, CLG, and C9 snaked it from TL.

In order for IMT to get a decent chance of going to Worlds, Huni and Adrian definitely need to overhaul how they do things. Huni will have to play tank for the good of the group from time to time, and Adrian will have to deepen his champion pool. We'll see as the split after MSI progresses, whether they do better, or whether they go the way of SK Gaming.

Don't the winners get to choose which champ they want to give the skin to? Even if they do not pick certain champs in the finals.

They can suggest certain champs, but Riot has final say.
