Just sub him out when Playoffs come if TL do get into Playoffs.
Miror B1 votesThe problem is that they don't so much "See" something in goldenglue but are trying to project unrealistic expectations on him (also lie to their fans with steve slowly becoming the Sarah Palin of esports). Even though GG went to korea to try to improve himself, he ultimately did so in a pretty terrible way that has me a bit confused. Instead of asking to be a sub for a LCK-challenger team, he just played solo queue there thinking that it'll somehow make him better at competitive despite the fact that he has been hovering around top-10 in NA challenger and has been pretty meh for most of his career.
As for TL as a whole, it amazes me the lengths they'll go to in an attempt to try and make their roster not 10th place. Acquiring players through somewhat nefarious means (TSM basically doing TL a favor because hey, players can now just be loaned to buddies for nothing now), rotating players in/out without any real concern for their confidence at all (pretty sure noone thought slooshi would actively start a game this split), and making overall roster moves without any concern for player skill/synergy. They say that repetition is the definition of insanity. Since TL has basically done this for four splits now with their 1st place 2015 summer regular season finish looking like a faded memory and players like Quas/xpecial/dardoch (dardoch becoming a bit like PK subban in the sense that CLG could very well make it to worlds with him), is it safe to say that the franchise is entirely insane now? All I know is that if I'm a prospective fan looking to root for a team, I'd probably root for 31 other western ones (including challenger) before them.

MYE you should honestly be a coach for one of these teams or better yet for TL because it seems like you get it while X amount of coaches in the west just don't. I expected GG to scrim, be apart of a team on the sideline to see how whenever X team are doing bad what do they do to get out of that so "tilt" mindset etc, how to stall out games(JAG)-(passive losing with JAQ in the past ) but still.
Yet he goes to Korea for solo Q and that's it, gj.
Or better yet if GG was going to be TL's plan at the start why send him off for X amount of time having even less time to work as a team in the preseason?

Miror B1 votesTo be fair, they didn't actually send him off. Apparently the solo-queue plan was his idea and he travelled/stayed/practiced there on his own $. The bigger problem I have with this though comes two fold: why even get him in the first place if you're going to replace him with at least one other guy (if you include piglet shenanigans, they technically have 4 other midlane subs), and if you're going to intentionally tank the season (which this kinda feels like) why not bring on a bunch of rookies and trial by fire them? Failing to understand the logic behind any of this, as you're massively hurting your brand/players (I highly doubt any LCS team will actively try any of the current TL players barring possibly reignover when their contracts are up) with literally no gain.
Oh, and I'd never waste my time actively coaching an LCS team, and they'd probably never pursue me anyways. Only casters are allowed to be silver 3 and have the game on the perma-uninstall list.
III BAKURYU III 1 votesI agree with you about TL and their subs and not using them but they might around week 5 or after depending on Playoff standings, the moment they get eliminated from Playoff contention they need to use any and all subs, trainees, ? players the kitchen sink.

Again, I agree with the possibility of other teams not wanting to pick up any of the TL players. Like you said with the exception of Reignover who if with a leader/shotcaller can actually succeed and be back to the regular Reignover as far as Western Reignover goes. Piglet may be another exception only on team DIG because of Ssumday and Chaser - but I forgot the year requirement for citizenship for Piglet as it has been 3 years same with Keane. Like you said about these players' "value" if they keep on losing, looking bad etc it's only ruining their reputation and in LCS reputation is everything especially for younger talent like Lourlo/Matt/GG.
Just sucks because TL has talent, the players are good(Kinda) and have potential Lourlo/Matt/GG aren't Faker level but they are better than most of the rest NA talent pool in the CS/Challenger/Past players etc.

Miror B1 votesMy problem with the subs isn't so much that they aren't using them, but moreso the fact they have them in the first place despite saying very early in the off-season that they had (apparently) planned to stick to one mid-laner only. The fact they did bring them along sorta has me under the assumption that they also didn't buy the whole "korean solo queue will make me better at competitive" thing either, and wanted multiple auxiliary options should sh "stuff" hit the fan.
Will try to find the thorin video for you, but he did what was a pretty inciteful hour-long interview with him about the whole korea thing/TL spring split. The guy put his heart on the table so to speak, and made me feel a bit of pity for him as GG's "goal" is simply to just shed his reputation as a mid-challenger tier midlaner.
Overall the reason a team would want reignover and noone else is because he's shown that with the right team setup (aggressive solo laners and a botlane that can handle themselves if need be) he can easily become a top-2 jungler in any western region, even if he's only made it to worlds once. Lourlo is below mid-tier LCS and thus can easily be taken after they pursue one of the challenger-tier midlaners (potentially Solo/Licorice), barring Arcsecond I doubt any of their current mids will receive starter jobs anytime soon (arcsecond only getting it because people always like testing out rookies, especially on challenger teams), Piglet's been in NA for what is going on 3+ years now and hasn't actually accomplished anything, while Kwon/Matt are both in weird spots due to having previous systems not work around them, which is kinda a shame as I've always kinda been a fan of godkwon's laning mechanics.
III BAKURYU III 1 votesI somewhat feel bad for GG but that's league and competition, either you're #1 or you're somewhere behind #1 potentially #last place etc. Kinda surprised about your thoughts on Piglet considering whenever I would say something about Piglet in the past with the same thing like " 3 years hasn't done much" you tend to always make it out like he had done something and would tell me how wrong I.
About Kwon I'v not seen him in like 2 years or something, the last time I saw him was on Coast unless I'm forgetting another time? I'v not seen much of Kwon to actually see something personally for myself but I'll take your word for it.
Miror B1 votesYeah, part of me stopped caring about Piglet once he did the whole role-swap to mid and basically had two different people (fenix and doublelift) do way better than him in both of his roles in the same game. Him returning to their lineup was kinda the straw that broke the camel's back for me, as he's kinda become the Kirk Cousins of LCS where the only reason he's getting any attention from them is because they don't want to bring in an untested rookie and not because he brings something valuable to their team.
Kwon was on NRG for the first iteration (I think their roster was something like Impact/moon/gbm/altec/kwon), then went to challenger playing with the echo fox-ish team there big gods jackals. Am "kinda" hoping he plays a bit for TL, but considering how much of a mess of a team they are it might be better if he doesn't.
III BAKURYU III 1 votesI thought letting go Fenix was the beginning of the end for TL - I thought he was at least 3rd-4th best mid at the time and TL were at least winning but once he left/kicked whatever it was like who were they going to replace him with ? As well as he was aggressive so that would have been decent to have if Reignover and Fenix would have been on the same team to add to your "aggressive lanes".

My idea of agro solo lanes helping out control-based junglers like reignover/santorin (people forget that santorin's KDA was something stupid like 9-ish when dyrus or bjerg self-snowballed their lanes) isn't so much an idea as it is fact, and is ultimately why said junglers look terrible when not in those decent scenarios (to this day, people keep trying to suggest that Santorin is the worst jungler on the face of the earth despite the fact that tsm looked quite decent when he was there).
Ultimately, if TL had the ability to remake a roster (not going to spoil too much as I've been thinking about doing another one of those team-building articles only based off of my idea of the best 2018 academy roster), they'd want to figure out a way to get a core of Quas/Reignover/Fenix together. Quas would potentially draw bans away from fenix's shallow-ey pool, fenix would give reignover a "killing buddy" he so desperately needs with Huni now on SKT (splitting time with untara for some reason, gonna save my gripes with that when the time comes though), and reignover could potentially hit MVP form/give them an anchor should they manage to land a stable botlane. Would balance out quite well kinda.

Dom said Quas' inner monologue when under pressure immediately went to Spanish so he would have a minor brain fart before he went "Oh shit yeah". Quas even said this once, i found it funny. Sometimes on Quas' stream he eludes to it as a joke when he misplays for dies.
