Group B is not the most talented group at worlds. That would have to be group C if your looking for the two best teams, and group D if your looking for overall strongest teams.
Group B has 1 weak team and no koreans, Group D has 4 extremely strong teams.
Group D is the true group of death, not group B.
Wrong In group B one of the top 6/7 teams in the world will be eliminated in group stage. And the supposed "weak team" of group B is not really that much weaker than the 4th team in group D - one could argue that C9 is not in worse shape than summer TSM -
its cause people are over estimating what fnc will do the fact is playing that good in one of the weak regions does not mean you will win at worlds
Basically group D is the group of win because it has Origen who's going all the way this year.
4 extremely strong teams? Lol, ok. TSM is ranked between 10-16 for this tournament (above 2 wildcard teams, flash wolves and possibly C9 and H2K). Origen would be ranked a spot above them. LGD is a top 3 team, KT is fighting for TOP5 with IG. You have 2 teams that are in a top 8, and 2 teams that are bottom 8. Same with group C, group A has only one TOP 8 team. Only group B has 3 teams from TOP8 of this tournament. And if IG drop their incosistency they're at least equal to Fnatic in terms of strength, and AHQ can possibly upset both of the teams. Unless you're an idiot, it's quite obvious why is group B called a group of death.
Saying that Group B is not a group of death just because they have 1 weak team and no Koreans is a poor statement. First off, the Korean teams dont look as strong as the Chinese teams going into worlds this year. So dodging the Koreans is seemingly less scary as dodging the Chinese teams as Group A has done heralding them as the group of life.
Now while Group D does have its potential to being called a Group of Death; its less so because there is 1 top strong team in that group and then 3 mid-low strength teams fighting for 2nd. All 3 of those teams KT, OG, TSM were not on many people's top 8 lists; close together and near the top 8 perhaps but few would put all 3 in the top 8.
Meanwhile in Group B you have 3 strong teams fighting for 2 positions. FNC, ahq, and IG were on a lot of peoples top 8 lists together. So no matter what, we are going to say goodbye to one of most peoples tournament's top 8 teams in that group. Add in that the group does contain C9 while many consider the weakest team and not likely to advance they do have the potential to take games off any of the other teams in best of 1's. And that is while it is heralded as a group of death.

Yes... GD is indeed the DOOM GROUP OF DOOM. A "group of death" is one that is impossible to win... not one that is balanced.
I don't think KT will roll over Origen and TSM. TSM will be helped out a lot by the juggernaut patch, and Origen was equally matched with FNatic at the EU championship match.
Group A is the group of death thew group of the death of who ever moves on.
If we're talking about the most balanced teams in play level, it's Group A.
