What happened to Fnatic and Origen ?
They definitely aren't as strong as last year .....

USA bought all their good players for insane amounts of money.
Meta and new players Try not to think of the old roster as EU players. Before Huni and reignover were in EU, they were in Korea. One region will take from another.
Fnatic new roster, Origen new midlaner and just generally choking. Fnatic only kept 2 members of their 18-0 team.
Things are really looking up for Fnatic and EU LCS, Fnatic played great VS QG and Forgiven got a deferment(possibly a 2 year one, not sure yet).
So if Fnatic steps up their game and gets 4 wins that makes them 12-6 for the split.
Realistically IMO (if Fnatic wins all 4): Team Vitality will go 2-2 these next 2 weeks so they will have a record of 13-5 H2k will probably win all 4 of their next games making them 15-3. If they lose 1 they are 14-4 G2 will probably go 3-1 in their next games making them 14-4
preseason just changed a whole lot about how you play the game, and both these teams were carried mostly by their mid to lategame shotcalling and a collected early-game...which is no longer a really viable option, because you lack the vision later on to "out shotcall" if you ever fall behind early on.
[zombie-brand-facepalm]
Fnatic lost their entire "voice" and are attempting to replace them with "meh" substitutes (not all koreans are born equal), whereas Origen lost their backbone in Xpeke. EU also got waaay tougher with G2/vitality/H2K* burying anyone who opposes them, forcing people to either get good or be relegated.
*with the recent news of forgiven, I'm sorta under the assumption that h2k will probably falter in the playoffs despite finishing in first with their next 4 games being against ele/uol/roc/spy. Although they were able to do wonders with a substitute mid-laner earlier in the season, the difference in skill level between ryu/selfie in a solo lane and forgiven/their next tier adc in a duo lane is arguably way bigger.
